Cho..cho…cho…CHOCO CORONETTO! (I dedicate this post to Tsubaki-nii ;3)

The self-proclaimed directory of all things sweet here ended her lessons early today and embarked on a long journey to Holland Village, to that little known (but gaining in popularity) bakery tucked away in a little corner.

I went at a pretty bad time (Some time before the next batch), so it was almost sold out.

And there were only…

ONE OF EACH KIND LEFT?! OMG CAN YOU HEAR IT CALLING ME? ITS LEIK WAVING TAIYAKI IN FRONT OF UME– I mean, Ayu!

The bakery itself prides itself on its European decor and wide range of traditional loaves, but I fell in love with it for its sweet rolls and pastries. They do a crazy good job with their anpan, though Sun Moulin (at Isetan Orchard, the one at Lido) is still the best.

But this post isn’t about anpan isn’t it? Lets move on.

Each coronet has a square of plastic at the head..

WAIT, WHICH SIDE IS THE HEAD AGAIN?

*dissolves into a thinking puddle of intellectual goo*

*mutters to self about caterpillars*

—–1 hour later

Eh? Post? What post? …Oh. Oh yea.

So, that square of plastic is to keep the choco-cream safe from getting squished out when you omochikaeri’ it. I don’t think it would hold against the Konata style of eating though.

You’re asking me if it tastes good?

OF COURSE IT DOES.

Coming from me, its not that convincing is it? >.>

I’d say, go give it a try. Its cheaper than those expensive and wildly delicious Beard Papa cream puffs (HAHAHA J00R POCKETS BURN MIYUKI FANBOYS) and the cream is top notch.

And again, like with the taiyaki post…

I PREFER CUSTARD.

*ducks from danmaku emanating from enraged fanboys* >_>|||

Haaai.

    Somatic> Lucky. Its 1.5 hours away from RP lol.

    Zel> I owe you a choco coronet. XD

    Rdrake> Will get one for you the next time i go. But they spoil pretty quickly so you have to tell me when you are free first.

    Akai> loooool. You got the le– i mean, melon bread so don’t complain XD

    Kazeto> melon pan sounds good. XDD But the best (imo) melon pan is in the same bakery as them coronets :3

    Exaltdragon> uohoho, I ate them right after I took the pics. Then my aunt came by and wanted to clear the plate and I went ‘AAH! Dont clear it, there are still a few crumbs left…’ but in the end I washed the plate (crumbs and all) anyway.

    XDD

    Tsubaki> It is one of their more popular items, lol. Seems that new batches come out at 9am and 3pm.

    Diego> If you do get one, eat it Kona-chan style. ;D

    Model_X> You’re welcome :3

    I have not had dinner yet and these pics are making me very hungry ^^;

  22. sentinel011 May 22nd, 2007 2:02 am

    @dannychoo

    I haven’t had a single choco cornet from there since my place to that shop’s kinda far. I’m all the way east of the country while that shop’s kinda hidden somewhere in the middle. The rest of them probably had more than one choco cornet after their many trips there. *sobs*

  23. Mosey May 26th, 2007 5:12 am
