The Bonkurasu Brigade

Having been tied down by school and my PS2/NDS addiction, Senti has been holding up the fort around here for the past few posts. But term break has started and I have plenty of time to write again :3

Today we will look at how reducing the Undines of Neo-Venezia to 1/3 of their original size can increase their charm tenfold. Yes, really.

From an illustration by Kozue Amano-sensei (here and here), the 3D version was released not long ago, by the folks at Toys Works. Overall it is a well-made set (Who can resist the cuteness? XD) though the paint job may be sloppy around certain corners, but the sculpt remains faithful to the original.

We’ll start off with Aria Company.

Akari’s sculpt is the most vibrant of the set, and personally I like her chibi form the best out of the rest. Also, Aria-shachou is love X3

Alicia retains her elegance even in super-deformed mode, though they could have put more detail in her fringe/braid. Her hair looks clumpy, but you could consider it a cute factor :p

Next up, Himeya, and also the ‘Secret’ figure.

YES ALICE. And great fangirl love for Maa-shachou. lol

Athena’s skin color is a little too brown for my liking, though. But her hair color and expression are perfect.
