SD Photoshoot : Ryuubi Gundam
Hi again, kind of the first proper post. Anyway, in this installment of “SD Photoshoot” I’m going to showcase my build up of the SD Ryuubi Gundam.
A bit on the kit. Ryuubi Gundam is the first kit in the “BB Senshi Sangokuden” series of SD kits. Currently the Sangokuden manga is serializing in KeroKero Ace (previously in Comic BomBom). The story and characters of Sangokuden are from the chinese literature “Romance of the 3 Kingdoms”. “Ryuubi” is the character “Liu Bei”, read more on Sangokuden in Wikipedia.
Really hesitated on building this kit. I opened the box looked at the parts, wanting to build it. But then I questioned my painting skills. The gold details on the kit needs painting. The process of opening the box and looking at the parts repeat for quite some weeks. Then I can’t take it anymore and got down to building it.
Luckily it turned out ok. Ryuubi seems to be preety easy to do. But it seems that the later Sangokuden SDs become more challenging then the previous one. Or maybe its just that I’m lazy :P

WOAH! That’s nice. I actually like SD Gundams more than the regular ones. Reminds me of the times where I used to snap built them as a kid. Love the series where the Gundam has the “Romance of the 3 Kingdoms” feel to it, especially those with nice looking dragons and such.
