空の境界 :萌え両儀式??
While waiting for my LE boxset to arrive, I went ahead to watch it.
The most epic moment was not the fight sequence, nor the music, or the details in the background.
IT’S THIS.
First time in my life, I’ve seen a tsundere face and ACTUALLY LIKING IT.
-ahem-
Alright, time for a short review on the 45-minute movie. I’m lazy so I’ll list it out in point form.
- Story: Pretty straightforward at the first glance, it had many referrals to the ‘magical’ world of Tsukihime, with their lines spoken as if the magical instances blend with the normal, mundane world.
- Art: Detailed with nice effects on most of the movie, but UFOTABLE takes the cake with the action sequence near the end. KARAS still outdo that aspect though.
- Pacing: Brave for the director to make it so slow paced in the beginning, and bombarding us with the action sequence at the back. Normal viewers have to take it with a pinch of salt, since the entire theme of the story revolves about Death. (okay, I don’t really make sense here, but you’ll need to know the underlying story in the novel to get it.)
- Music: Yuki Kajiura. Need I say more? Not to mention Kalafina sings for all the theme songs.
- Seiyuu: Maaya Sakamoto surprised me with her role as Shiki; very convincing, I must say. Takako Honda (Gimmy from Gurren-Lagann) as Aozaki Touko was nothing to shout about, but I’ll heed to hold onto my comments until I watch the 3rd movie.
Overall, good ‘episode’, nice set-up for what’s in store for the rest of the plot in the other movies.

sentinel: when you get your DVD, we should organize a KnK viewing party. This will be the most epic party ever.
