Finally unboxed

Finally found a suitable casing for the Figmas, it was at CSC all along.
Bought it and on last Wednesday I finally unboxed my Figmas.
My first real female figures. Theres mostly only mecha here.
The only other figures I had before are the old TMNT figures.
But Figmas are on another class from those TMNT figures.
They are like treasures so the case to protect them.
My mom commented that they are pretty girls.
Don’t know if my dad has noticed them yet.
How did your parents react when they see your first bishoujo figure?
Thoughts from sentinel011:
Iron2000 has considerably lesser anime figurines than me, but more gunpla, since he started out earlier. The lack of space in the room of which I shared with my elder brother was little to begin with, hence it wasn’t feasible to display all 200+ gunpla kits that I own, not including the female/male figurines that I’ve purchased.
Of course, every parent would consider such hobby as a total waste of money, but let’s face it, I’d rather be doing this than to dabble into drugs/alcohol/tobacco any time. Hence they’ve kinda given up on it, but are quite adamant to the figurines that I buy.
In fact, I’ve kinda reduced my expenditure in terms of figurine expenses by a lot, so that’s sorta good news. But while my money stops at one hobby, it’ll land up onto another.

my parents threw them away….sigh….
My dad thought I was collecting dolls… but my mom do think my figures are pretty cute.. she wants my Nendoroid Al-azif.
Mum’s standard reaction: “Why do you keep wasting your money on [insert item of the moment here - figures, anime DVDs, manga, etc.]?”
Mind you, she usually says this in a friendly voice. Mum is hardly a tyrant and she’s pretty much resigned to my otakuhood.
Yeah, my first addiction was making gundams… My parent’s thought it was such a waste of time, and they decided to sick my dog on them. I had completed 2 perfect grades and was in the process of painting them.
*sigh*
lol my parents didnt say a thing. BUT i do love figmas oh hell yeah.
well, i only live with my father and the first thing he said was ” dont throw away your money like that ”
but now he dont said anithing abut my collection XD
やれやれー’s reply is pretty shocking to me.
Actually quite sometime after my mom landed me another question, “why did you buy these?”.
Somehow I can’t think of an answer.
