Figma Fun+: A relic of Haruhism
Continuing from the previous post. Looks like Haruhi had “unsealed” the box…

The curiousity of Haruhi led to the discovery of a recent relic of Haruhism…
‘Read more’ for more on the “relic”.
The uncovered “relic” is the Nendoroid Petit Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya #03 from Good Smile Company.

The box holding the smaller individual boxes
The box contains 12 Nendoroid Petit figurines, each packed in plastic bag in another smaller box. Minor assembly needs to be done. The set consists of 10 different designs with 1 secret design.
Ordered it from Play-asia during that period of sudden figure rush (it all started from Figma). To me Nendoroids seem gigantic and Nendoroid Petit is big. Standing at 6.5cm, its about the height of an SD Gundam.

Haruhi is very pleased with the discovery
The package came to me squashed a bit, must be the result of the postman forcing the lid close on a packed container on the delivery scooter. Luckily the figures are all fine.
Somehow there seem to be some mysterious pull from Haruhi and friends that made me make that first and subsequent figure purchases. But senses came to me and I quickly set a limit before it become PVC addiction (already have that plastic addiction to sustain). But again I feel really tempted when I look at pictures of the past 2 of Haruhi Nendoroid Petit sets. Then I look at the Lucky Star Nendoroid Petit….**Limiter Act UP!! Suppress temptations!!**

The full set with the individual box in the background
Not sure if its set this way or am I lucky, the box of 12 contains the complete set with one extra. The one extra I got is Kyon (Gekisou ver.) and the secreat design is Tsuruya (Gekisou ver.). Man, the Gekisou Kyon design looks real weird to me.
The ‘Gekisou’ designs with their eyecatching rock band dress up forms a contrast with the prim and proper uniforms and removable beret of the ‘The Day of Sagittarius’ designs. Its like having 2 different sets in one set.

The ‘Gekisou’ subset
The designs of these 6 Nendoroid Petits are from this promotional image of the live concert event that happened back in March 18, 2007 which featured songs by the seiyuu.

‘The Day of Sagittarius’ subset
The designs for these 5 come from the 11th episode of the anime series where the SOS Brigade is challenged to a duel by the Computer Club in their doujin Battleship-like game ‘The Day of Sagittarius’.

Where they go back to after all the fun
Anyone wants to trade another Nendoroid Petit for my extra Kyon?

nice, those nendoroids looks so cute. I like the comic, very cute.
I want those so bad. XD It’s always so tempting to buy a whole bunch of figures but, I have to stop myself from getting more then I can afford.
@yumyu
Thanks. I suppose their cuteness is one of the factors that pushed me to make the purchase.
@Larein
Sure is tempting once you start buying. Same here I’m keeping watch before this becomes a full-fledged money draining addiction.
