Now and then, Sony sends me e-newsletters of their latest products with special pre-order offers. But recently, one very special product caught my eye, and with my latest craze in Perfume and a little bit of techno-pop in general, this current one seems to fit the bill.

After watching that promotional video, I can’t help to think that this funny gadget would definitely spruce up parties. Not to mention, it fits the image of Yasutaka Nakata and his quirky music compositions.

The function to customize and share ‘dance steps’ for certain music gives it more life than the usual Aibo. Reminds me of IM@s, but without the ‘moe’ factor; well, it does look kinda small and cute to girls. I doubt it’ll hit off well in the end. It’s interesting, if not a tad expensive. 599SGD for a glowing and dancing MP3 player with 2GB of memory space? Maybe if the price drops a hundred bucks or two.

But with proper advertisements and getting some musicians to endorse Rolly, it might just raise the chances that IM@S had gotten for the Xbox 360.
