Mizuki Nana : LIVE FIGHTER
Watching ‘LIVE’ concerts is an experience; the exhilaration of watching your favourite artiste performing is something to behold, especially if the ‘LIVE’ is done well. One such example would be being in the thick of the concert during this year’s Anime Festival Asia’s Ichiro Mizuki and May’n mini-’LIVE’. Those days I experienced would never be forgotten.

Of course, what other better alternative to reproduce that very effect, than to watch it in high definition video and audio. And that is what I had a few days back, watching Mizuki Nana’s LIVE FIGHTER Blu-ray version. Albeit the setup has misgivings, only 2.1 stereo, but it was enough to take my breath away. The humble DVD pales in comparison in terms of video and audio quality, similar to the comparison between a VCD and a DVD.
From that point onwards, I would only buy the Blu-ray versions of Anison, or Jpop, concerts. The quality is too good to look back to the normal DVD. I seriously was considering on getting a Blu-ray drive for my current rig.
The above is merely a recount on my experience watching LIVE FIGHTER on Blu-ray, since I’m not a fan of Nana-chan, but rather, someone who appreciates her songs and career.

Now,where is my BudoukaaaaaN!!!! Blu-ray….
[An interesting fact; Perfume is going to perform their next LIVE on May 2009 at the same event that Mizuki Nana performed in LIVE FIGHTER; Yoyogi Indoor Stadium.]
