2ch, Minorin, and Boin.
Following J1m0ne’s post about 2ch and their discussions on how to cross the Great Pacific to reach the land of….. East West Malaysia.
Here are a few of my favourite quotes, translated by J1m0ne:
-
”
マレーシアねぇ。みのりんが変な病気に罹らないといいけど。(Ah, Malaysia. I hope Minorin doesn’t catch some weird disease there)
マレーシアは暑いし海だし、みのりんの水着姿は!? (Malaysia’s hot and it’s got beaches… Minorin in swimsuit!?)
台湾に行ったときパスポート取ったから問題ないが、7月なんて休みとれねーぞorz (I got myself a passport when I went to Taiwan [for her live] so that’s no issue for me but I can’t get off days in July orz)
この中に一人くらいマレーシアに別荘持ってるやつとかいないのか。 (Does anyone have a holiday villa in Malaysia)
みのりんは急に俺がおっぱいを揉んでも怒りませんか? (Would Minorin get mad if I suddenly groped her boobs?)
and the usual radish related jokes…
芽原って大根足だったのか (Minorin has radish legs)
みのりんは大根じゃない! (Minorin is not a daikon!)”
Just go to atemonai to read more of such quirky and amusing quotes that 2ch had posted about.
2 commentsAnime DVD picks for Spring.
Okay, so it’s not really considered ‘DVDs’, but hey, they are better than DVDs.
I’m talking about the upcoming Blu-Ray versions of the 2 anime that Bonkurasu is interested in.

交響詩篇エウレカセブン ポケットが虹でいっぱい (JUNE 26TH RELEASE)

Well, Eureka Seven is something that the resident plum is a fan of, and a Blu-ray release might entice her a bit. Eheheh. Not much details in terms of the content other than the release date.
No commentsPerfume : Pino x Perfume 2009 CM “NIGHT FLIGHT”

“spacecadet” from Perfume City Forums posted and translated natalie’s post on “NIGHT FLIGHT”, Pino’s latest collaboration with Perfume.
-
“Perfume appears again on a new CM of Morinaga Milk’s ice-candy “Eskimo Pino”. In the CM they play as cabin attendants and run in an airplane with a cart full of Pino. The theme song is their new song “NIGHT FLIGHT”.
Morinaga sponsors Perfume’s Live at Yoyogi National Gymnasium “Disco!Disco!Disco!” on May 9 and 10. Perfume’s costume in the CM and posters are going to be displayed.”
The CM will broadcast all over Japan’s network starting from tomorrow (04/29).
=====
Well, concert-goers to DISCO DISCO DISCO might get to see Perfume’s full dance for “NIGHT FLIGHT”. This news was also released on Perfume’s ‘news’ segment at 24:00 GMT+9, about 2 hours ago.
=====
EDIT: A new site has surfaced in the light of the new CM. Pino sure did better than the previous year with this ‘pinoairlines‘ site. There are 2 versions of the CM, and apparently there’s a ‘campaign’ that lets you exchange pino coupons via mail for some freebies, such as a travel luggage, umbrellas, and more.
3 commentsPerfume : BudoukaaaaaaaaaaaN! review [DVD 01] Part 2
Continuing off from Part 1.
Plastic Smile is yet another song from previously that never got a chance to be performed, especially during their GAME LIVE TOUR. At least this time, it was performed at a more than just decent live house. In any case, although Plastic Smile wasn’t one of favourite songs from their GAME album, I found that I was better at appreciating the song after watching their performance of it at Budoukan.

Perfume has never cease to amaze (and amuse) me, and with their current LIVE DVD out, it was set to be a blast watching the entire performance.

Thus here I am, doing a review of this fabulous DVD. I skimmed through it once, and I noticed immediately that a substantial amount of camera angles in the television broadcast version were replaced with better ones. That alone raised the experience a notch.
Another thing I noticed was the audience interaction. It was way more than what was shown on TV.
Onwards to the review!
1 commentFirst informal Nana fans’ gathering

Yes, I’m the one wearing checkered T-shirt with a Perfume Budoukan shirt underneath
NK-DS had a wonderful gathering of sorts to have Mizuki Nana fans socialize and exchange ideas and information amongst themselves. It came to me as a surprise that a good percentage of those who turned up were girls; but not to be a sexist here, but I didn’t think that even in Singapore, such a percentage exists amongst the ‘otaku’ community.
Despite not being a fan of Nana-chan, I joined in and chipped in for the flowers, for the sole purpose of showing my appreciation to her songs, and with the flowers that would be sent to her in the upcoming July concert, that would be a good chance to show King Records that there is a fan base here, and a possibility that they might be able to have some of their artistes to perform here eventually. I support any action in bid to have a decent Anison artist to perform in Singapore.
Another reason would be that since most, if not all local fans of Mizuki Nana would be fans of Anison as well, it would be great to know more people who appreciates Anison, and I took this chance to exchange and share opinions and share certain information with regards to the Anison industry in Japan and how it works.
To sum it off, this was a good first event to be in, and good to socialize with new people and welcoming them to a more close-knit Anison community.
No commentsMay’n : キミシニタモウコトナカレ PV
I’m probably slow at releasing this piece of news, but May’n’s new song for Shangri-La’s opening theme had its PV out. It sounds relatively good to me, and this sort of song suits her voice well.

The planning begins now : Minorin @ DaiCon 2009
With DaiCon’s site confirming that the certain seiyuu is actually my favourite seiyuu, Minori Chihara aka Minorin, I will do whatever it takes to go for that very event. I will be going abroad for the first time in my life to see Minorin. =D
There’s a streamed video on the right with Minorin’s greetings.
…and excuse me while I start packing up my bags with the chunk of Minorin’s singles and albums that I have…
====
On a hind sight, if only Marina Inoue would come for AFA eventually…. heheh.
Perfume related updates
Some information that natalie.mu translated regarding Perfume:
Perfume’s Yoyogi one-man live prepared extra seat at stage side

One of the pictures from their Budoukan booklet
-
“The official announced that the extra stage side seat of Perfume’s one-man live “Disco! Disco! Disco!” held at Kokuritsu Kokuritsu Yoyogi-Kyougijyou Daiichi-Taiikukan (国立代々木競技場第一体育館, The National Yoyogi First Gymnasium) on May 9th and the 10th is prepared because of all reserved seats have been all sold out.
The sale of the stage side seat ticket starts at 10:00 on April 26th. The acceptance is ended as soon as it reaches the number of tickets as scheduled. Fan that regrettably missed reserved seat ticket, don’t miss this last chance to join the big party!”
Sadly, I’m still not able to make a trip down. =( I hope I will be able to do that eventually to one of their future live performances.
