Gainax is sure cunning, leeching money off ardent Yoko fans. The moment the words 限定 (or limited) appeared, my brain automatically went into overdrive.
The LIMITED boxset of -PIECES of SWEET STARS- comes with
- some pretty niffy box (to put your CD and DVD in)
- [S.T.a.r.S] Promotion Video (DVD)
- New Character song [S.T.a.r.S] (CD)
- B5 size full 132P (?) Fanbook. (not sure if it’s hardcover or softcover)
I wouldn’t care less if it isn’t going to be LIMITED, because it doesn’t justify the cost of 3,150 yen. I know it’s a marketing strategy, but I’m slightly more of a collector than a normal fan. It’s a grey area for me.
Anyway, for those who are tempted to get it, it will be on sale from May 27th onwards.

Much as I love Gurren Lagann I am not a big Yoko fan, so I’m not interested, however I am a strong supporter of collecting and consumerism, so I hope all Yoko fans buy it! Support Gainax, so maybe they can have some budget on their next show!
After this Kirameki Yoko Box would Gainax come up with some Dokimeki Nia Box or something?
