PROFESSIONAL OTAKU.

Yes, there’s a way for one to be a PROFESSIONAL OTAKU, certified in Japan, no less. \
Just go here, and apply.
Not to mention it’s ‘endorsed’ by the Queen of Akiba, Momo-i Halko.
It’s just like JLPT. But it’s anime related, and for the budding otaku who aspires to be a PROFESSIONAL.
Now excuse me while I try to refrain from any adverse reactions, because I don’t think being a PROFESSIONAL OTAKU gives you any jobs other than bragging rights to your fellow otaku friends that you’re certified as one.
-EDIT-
Alright, so it seems that after asking from various sources in the industry, you -do- need to have that if you want to work at anime-related companies, like Animate.
But it’s still amusing to me.

I leave the rest up to your imagination and expression after watching the following video, from her DVD special released yesterday.
5 commentsThe perplexities of a Minorin fan

Single out on 3rd of June
This is yet another post of me contemplating if I should get Minorin’s CD single that’s about to release next week. It’s not like I know it only recently, more like I’m just lazy at posting it up as usual. Gunpla and work takes up most of my time nowadays.
With Minorin’s single releasing on June 3rd, I don’t have adequate funds to get it, since the DVD is within the same month as well on the 24th of June, AND I’m going to Daicon for Minorin as well.
And speaking about the DVD, wasn’t there supposed to be a Blu-Ray version? o_O?
Excuse me while I continue to ponder on it over a cup of water… I’ll probably need more than just -a- cup.

I know I haven’t been posting much, but I’m still alive and kicking.
Anyway , GeMaGa Magazine is giving away free ita PSP stickers when you buy the July issue of it , which retails on the 30th of May.(Don’t ask me why is it a July issue in May.)
Note that these stickers are for the PSP-3000 series.
Sources are from : オレ的ゲーム速報@刃 and GeMaGa’s own Blog.
1 commentFigurines tempt me yet again
While I have managed to stop my figurine-buying temptations thus far, Max Factory, Alter and Figma line of figurines tempt me yet again, not to mention they will release pretty soon, too.

1/8 Yoko by Alter, June 2009 release
The very figure than made me convulsed (in a good way) late last year during some figurine exhibition fair in Japan. The sculpt is incredible beyond expression, and nicely produced into a PVC figure.
2 comments[Music Japan] Mirroring Nana and May’n blogs
I’ve only extracted out the parts where they blogged about each other, and looks like they miss each other since Animelo 2008… probably? Not sure if they met each other during the Animelo 2009 CD recording last week.

あっ
水樹奈々さんとミヒマルさんにも久しぶりに会えましたーっ
Ah
It’s been a long while since I met Mizuki Nana-san and Mihamaru(GT)-san
奈々さんにエタブレのこと言ったら、知ってくださってたみたい(*´д`*)きゃー
I talked to Nana-san regarding (my cover of) Eternal Blaze, and it seems that she knows about it(*´д`*) kyaa (Probably regarding the new song that she performed during the recording, Kimi Shinitamou Koto Nakare)
しかも
アニサマ今年も違う日だからダメだけど、いつか一緒に歌いたいねって言ってくださったああああ(*´д`*)(*´д`*)(*´д`*)
Furthermore
We could not sing together again this year because we were on different days in this year’s Anisama (Animelo), but she told me about singing together someday aaaaaah(*´д`*)(*´д`*)(*´д`*)
あわわ奈々さまから言っていただけるなんて(*´д`*)
aasdjkhf to be spoken of by Nana-sama like that(*´д`*)
奈々さん本当に優しくて大好きです(*´д`*)
Nana-san is so affectionate, I love her(*´д`*)
[Thoughts] Bandai finally dipped Gundam 00 into the Master Grade pool.

I’m not going to rant and bitch about Bandai playing stunts with their kit releases with the Gundams of the 00 series having their final variants in 1/144 High Grade at the recent Shizuoka Hobby Show 2009. What I am more concerned with is that Bandai finally got a kit from Gundam 00 into the Master Grade list.
Other than speculating Astraea and other Exia variants like Avalanche Exia and Repair II, there’s a possibility that it would be the first time that all the 4 Gundams might have their own MGs as well.
Now, all I want for Bandai to release is an MG variant for the Astray Red Frame, along with -all- the packs. Oh, Blue Frame and Gold Frame, too.
No commentsPersonal “5 must-watch concerts”
After watching the Kalafina LIVE from the Limited Edition of the Seventh Heaven album, I have realised I have yet to come up with a list of LIVE events I must attend, at least one out of the list.

My Kalafina craze is back again, no thanks to the album I have gotten recently.
My personal top 5 concerts I HAVE TO ATTEND whenever I visit Japan:
1. Perfume
2. Minori Chihara
3. Kalafina
4. May’n
5. Animelo
Special Mention 1: JAM Project
Special Mention 2: Mizuki Nana
The first 4 is due to my fanboy-isms, while Animelo is like a gigantic mash of most of my favourite Anison singers together. Mizuki Nana’s concerts are a plus, since I’m curious on the otagei (lightstick calls) and the amount of adrenaline going throughout the mostly 3 hour concerts.
[EDIT] A raging fan of JAM Project almost mowed me down for not putting it in the list, so there it is. Slipped my mind.

Tsunami from Bandai – SD編
Had been pretty into Winamp skins recently and when I decided to check out Ngee Khiong’s I felt as if a tsunami came down on me, hard.

Look!! Its God Gundam in Sangokuden at last!!
