[ktkr] Persona Music Live, the DVD
Roughly a year ago, I saw this report on Famitsu which made me stare at my screen blankly and curse loud enough for my neighbours to hear.
Today, I picked up a copy of Famitsu, and saw this.

Yes, the one night of legend, the (!) Persona Music Live, is finally coming out on DVD!
Hell yes, preorder time. More information is available at aniplex’s site here.
Now, my life would be even more complete than before if I could attend the Famitsu-initiated PRESS START 2009 Symphony of Games, but that would be impossible, so I’ll be content with what I can get.
(I would kill to hear 全ての人の魂の詩 played by an orchestra though.)
1 commentBirthday comings and whatnot.
Well yes, today’s my birthday!

And this post is to dedicate the presents I received (or on hold because the stuff ain’t here yet XD)
- Perfume’s upcoming ⊿ album from ume
- a pair of great sounding Denon AH-D1001 from Lss
- Tonight’s Transformers II movie tickets by Julius_Firefocht from NK-DS
There might be more to come, but I’m not expecting anything more, anyway. ^^;;
Also, many thanks from well-wishes by my colleagues, some SGAB peeps, NK-DS people, janice, jy,” Paner, horcruxes77, chanus_aloba, ArtemisMaster, PolynesianDancer, Keyfob “(from Perfume City Forums), Nocab (from Perfume City irc Channel), Satomi (thanks for the e-birthday card XD), etc (updated as of 5:30pm GMT+8)
And the above is Perfume’s P.T.A picture I saw while lurking the intarnetz. It’s a much smaller version of the P.T.A’s 1 year anniversary wallpaper.
4 commentsHatsune Miku’s Melt to be in Taiko 12 Zoryouban

Among many other new songs!
Announced two months ago, the next installment of the Taiko no Tatsujin games by Namco for the arcade, (titled Taiko no Tatsujin 12 Do~n! to Zoryouban. Namco insists that it isn’t Taiko 13) will include supercell’s rocket-to-popularity, Melt.
Being the mad taiko fan I am, I would have posted this a long time ago, but my final year project eats up all my free time and leaves me feeling quite hollow at the end of the day. But I won’t rant about that any further.
A romanized partial songlist is up ahead, and the ones of particular note are in bold.
No commentsMay’n and Masami Okui duet?!?!

News direct from her blog and her official site’s schedule page, May’n announced her collaboration with Makkun, with the song titled “Miracle Upper WL”, and will be on sale from August 21st at the price of 1200yen. Also, the CD’s up for pre-order on CDJapan already.
Now, I have no idea if Makkun will duet with May’n this song on the following day, which is Animelo 2009. But I do hope that the song will be performed live during the opening segment, or May’n’s segment. Or even Makkun’s segment; whichever it is, as long as it’s gonna get performed live!!!
No commentsMecha Updates (Gunpla and Chogokin) 06/09
Quick update on the gunpla and chogokin from this month, but first up, is the Chogokin segment.

Yes. The above is a Transformable Chogokin variant of Mazinger Z with God Scrander, transformable into Big Bang Punch mode. I was half-expecting a Chogokin version when Bandai announced a kit version to be out sometime in August. Now that the pictures hold truth to my expectations, well done.
16cm tall. Late October release, 9,240 Yen (inclusive of tax).
More pictures on the God Scrander Mazinger Z Chogokin and other revoltech news over here.
1 commentMikatan’s Nendoroid Saber Lily preview
I’m not a sucker for moe blobs (again) but this month is double whammy.
First I realised/noticed the Nendoroid Al Azif too late, and now a completed preview of the Saber Lily version.
For all you Type-Moon or Fate/Stay Night suckers, click on the picture above for the link to the post.

Saber Lily will cleave you if you don’t buy her when she is out.
Kashiyuka is Friday’s next target

Here’s a translation done by taka02 from Perfume City Forums:
['Friday' (2009, July 3 issue) article]

“In the middle of May, a little past 10:00 p.m. in Sangenchaya, Setagaya Ward. There was a quiet cafe at a corner of a residential area. In front of the terrace facing the street, a tall man was talking into a cell phone.
Five minutes later, a woman came walking down the street leading from a thoroughfare to the cafe. It looked like a rendevouz. The gray one piece the woman was wearing was super short on the legs and, extending from under a white camisole over it, her long legs were conspicuos. Her clothing looked quite nudy from a distance, but didn’t show gals-like erotisism at all. Recognizing the man, her pretty eyes smiled through the glasses. Her expression was girlish, which made quite a contrast to her nudy clothing. She looked like a heroine from a moe[1] anime or an Akihabara style two dimentional idol. No wonder, since she was Yuka Kashino(20), also known as Kashiyuka from Perfume.
Meeting in front of the cafe, Kashiyuka and the tall man went inside through the door beside the terrace. They went into the only private room there was in the crowded cafe.
All about Kalafina
The moment after I bought the Seventh Heaven album of Kalafina, I became an instant fan. Well, not like I didn’t like the group in the first place, but I ‘upgraded’ from an appreciative listener to a fan.
So I went around looking for links, and found 2 non-English sites that covered quite a bit about them. But one of them is their own blog. HAHHAHA.
====

Niki, and her blog スタート – ACG | 声優 雜談 talks predominantly about Nana Mizuki and Kalafina. The blog’s in Traditional Chinese, but her comments and ‘reviews’ are quite amusing and slightly fangirl-ish.
Of course, the next one is Kalafina’s own blog. Wakana likes to write entries that are broken up (similar to May’n’s), Keiko occasionally has weird kao-moji, and Hikaru’s the prim and proper writer in the group… somewhat. Their staff also updates the blog occasionally. Not to mention that they have nice and large pictures taken before and after their live performances <3
1 commentMaster Grade Gundam Exia and customized XN raiser
Preview pictures released online via most online gunpla stores, but the one at happinetonline.com provided large pictures.

To view larger pictures, please click on the collage above.
The preview pictures had the MG Exia looking rather spiffy, and the aurora stickers look nice on it as well, and had a purple tinge, just like in the anime. Bandai is looking into ways to make it easier for casual kit builders to have their kits OOB-ed like the pros.
So when’s the other Exia-variants coming? Time can only tell…… heheh.
=====
Also from me, even though I knew about it a few weeks ago, was a modded 1/144 00 raiser into XN raiser. Looks really good, too. Now, where is my October issue of Hobby Japan…..

On a side note, work is going to get busier and busier from here on. x_x
