Repaint: Voyager Class Megatron
This is my first time touching up on a toy to this extent… Usually I work on model kits more. Much, much more.

Yes, this toy is supposed to be part of my ‘Trip to Japan’ fund.
So, um. Yeah. I succumbed to getting this toy. I got this toy mainly because it’s much cheaper than the Leader Class counterpart, and I like its Jet/tank mode. It looks far sleeker in Jet/Tank mode than its Leader Class variant.
The only thing I hated was the color scheme, which had the toy’s armor with minimal silver and mainly jade green. Eeew.

So I had to repaint this whole damn toy.

Basically, I repainted the entire thing. These are the steps I took:
1) Spray the entire toy with Tamiya Chrome spray paint
2) Hand painted Tamiya Enamel Dark Grey to paint the ‘black’ parts
3) Hand painted Gaia Sunlight Gold onto random areas of the armor shards of Megatron
4) Dry-brushed the tracks with Gunze Super Silver
5) Dry-brushed the armor with a diluted mix of Tamiya Enamel Dark Grey
6) Clear coat the toy with Gunze Semi-Gloss

Actually, I’m not that satisfied with the mod of this toy, mainly because of the following reasons:
1) I didn’t do any pre-shading; hence there’s a lack of depth on the armor platings
2) My Tamiya Chrome ran out of paint, and sputtered its way to cover most of the toy
3) I covered some ’sputters’ by dry-brushing Gunze Super Silver over the parts affected
4) I DIDN’T SPRAY ANY SURFACER OVER THE TOY BEFORE APPLYING THE PAINT ORZ ORZ
