3 Years of Rinbu Revolution at Animelo – Comparisons with Nana, Minorin and May’n

Well, May’n didn’t duet with Makkun 輪舞-revolution, but I’m comparing the 3 biggest things in Anison that duet with Makkun and her songs, and Miracle Upper WL is a great song. I like all three ladies as anison singers, but I’m a fan of only two out of the three. =P

Let’s begin with Nana’s duet first:

Vocal-wise, Nana suits this song the best, and I like how she blends in with Makkun very well. Pity the sound equipment and the level of the instrument players wasn’t there yet…

..but Makkun’s leather outfit + bodice was teh smexy. <3

Next up, is Minorin's.

The music suits Minorin’s singing style more than Makkun’s, but it was a wonderful duet anyway. Not to mention I am totally digging on Minorin’s outfit for Animelo 2008 =D~

====

I don’t have a video of May’n and Makkun singing Miracle Upper WL, but here’s the PV of the song

I was at this year’s Animelo, and the ladies performed this number on Day 1. The duet was perfect, I couldn’t have asked for more out of them. Not to mention May’n’s vocals improved by a notch, so it was even better. One of the songs I would buy Blu-Ray Animelo for.

====
We have the 3 fabulous ladies with their great duets with the legendary Makkun, but now for the ultimate in Anison….

…..I present to you the worst duet in Animelo History, proudly wrecked by Arika.

Enjoy. =D

    I noticed that people who had a duet with makkun during animelo, tend to receive a boost in their popularity.

    Of course being a makkun fan, I only start to notice them more after the duets so it may just be a matter perspective.

    Probably so, but you can’t discount that these girls already are popular on their own right, and not through Makkun. Nana already had a big following during 2007’s Animelo, Minorin’s seiyuu and singing work takes centre-stage at that time of her career, and May’n is still at her peak of her career, with an upcoming budoukan performance around the corner. So far only Mizuki Nana has went to perform in large 1-man concerts of that scale.

    My apologies if my comment seem to imply that Nana, Minorin and May’n were riding on Makkun to increase their popularity. To say something like that would be disrespectful to the amount of hard work these ladies done. Not to mention suicidal. As you have rightly mentioned, the ladies are already well established and certainly do not need such a gimmick to boost their popularity anymore.

    What I was trying to say was that Nana and Minorin seems to be doing very well after their performances with Makkun. I find that to be a nice coincidence. Of course since I wasn’t following their works until that point, I can’t really do a valid comparison.

    Anyway I hope this clears up any misunderstanding that my comment may have brought up.
