Sangokuden Update: Possible peek into Part 4?
Yup, just yesterday news on 2 new Sangokuden kits are found online.
With their release stated as next year, perhaps a Part 4 is confirmed?
Or is Part 3 still a bit more from finish?
The kits are Kakuka Virsago and Genbusou Ryofu Tallgeese.
Following will be some pictures and my rough translation from Happinet then some of my thoughts for the two.
Kakuka Virsago (郭嘉ヴァサーゴ)

Thoughts
With Kaku and Houtou both dead in the current Part 3, Kakuka is the last of the Three Excellencies of Giga. Feels like Giga will be crushed by end of Part 3 leaving Sousou to bring it up again.
Kakuka has a new design (old design) with three modes, two are shown but which two? Is the one similar to Chest Break mode the Commander(武将) mode or Majin(魔神) mode? Or is the not shown power up form with Shuu Gundam parts the Majin mode? If not then could the old design be the strategist mode? [EDIT] Now made clear with the new picture added.
Equipped with Shuu parts? So what is Kakuka? A remanent of Shuu? A new evil? A Shuu possession? Also as shown in the animated PVs, the three “bad guys” are Shuu, Kakuka and Toutaku.
Will he be part of Part 3’s endgame or have a role to play if there is a Part 4?

Thoughts
No jumbo set for Ryofu this time, phew. Now clad in white armor with more of those hexegonal turtle shell pattern on it. I suppose the armor is called Genbusou(Genbu Armament)? Clawed and black before, now he is white and spiky :P.
Genbu(玄武) is one of the Four Symbols, associated anmal is the tortoise. The Three Lords are also associated with the Four Symbols. The stylized turtle emblem on (previous) Ryofu’s box and the Shinbu mode of the Tengyokugai also hints on Ryofu’s relationship with the Genbu symbol. In the manga version an additional scene is added in the second compiled volume of Part 1 to show that he has survived and his appearance in a panel of Part 3’s preview suggest that his role in Sangokuden is not finished yet. Also in the Comic World on his instruction sheet, the purple part is also glowing when the Gyokuji is activated.
But the mythology only talked about The Three Lords, Jyakushi, Kogyou and Ryuutei. What did Ryofu become? A new Fourth Lord? Or he has awoken to some unknown Fourth Lord? What about his own country, a fourth Kingdom?
If he is the first kit of a supposedly Part 4 then he could be the protagonist then? If so, what could Part 4 be about? About what happened to him after Part 1? As Part 3 seems to be derailing from the literature, could Part 4 be original? Also with him in Part 3’s preview could he be in Part 3 and theres no Part 4?
Still wondering, could he have lost his memory and become Kouseki after Part 1? (But Ryofu has purple eyes..who is Kouseki?)
Part 4 not confirmed yet but have a good chance.

22 JOINTS!!! No excuse for me NOT to buy it now. Hopefully this new format will be re-used for the next Sonken kit.
I really think its going to be (LONG RANT WARNING!!!) Three Emperors (well Caocao no…) VS Nuei Zeil Shu while all their generals look on… and as the final battle is thru and done everyone happy… but on top of a mountain GuoJa appears! everyone shock and he puts on the new snake emblem over his phoneix V-fin…
He says the time has come while all three kingdoms are exhausted (well except Dragoon… they are still the superp ower for me…)… he then goes to the side and Lu Bu makes his entrance and other generals behind him…

It makes sense though… Wei – Bird or wing like features, Wu- Tiger or Clear Crystal like Features and Shu – Dragon like features except for Nanban…
Lu Bu- Reptile or Amphibians… make sense to me…

Hmm, nice observation on the reptile and amphibian, tortoise and snake point. So you think Kakuka goes to Ryofu’s side? As I’m not well-versed in the original literature, I wonder who will be his generals? But there is still some link between Kakuka and Shuu, being able to equip Shuu parts(I think).
Kakuka also appeared with a different air after he like magically appear when he is thought to have died in the War at Gappi (Part 2, Ch11 – the battle where Sonsaku “dies” too). In that battle Kakuka used the “good” Gyokuji and conjure up darkness building up a stone golem which he rides on but he went beserk, Sonsaku dies trying to distract and slow him. I guess something happened during that battle, maybe Kakuka came in contact with Shuu at that instance. And Sonsaku was buried under the crumbling stone golem from which he emerged as Shuu in the last chapter (of Part 3).
Shiba-I gave the Gyokuji to Kakuka, a corrupt heart and the Gyokuji. Maybe that sparked the beginning of Shuu’s revival, a crucial step in Shiba-I’s plan to revive Shuu. Felt like poor Sonsaku got caught up in it.
Well, Ryofu seem like the lone wolf kind of character to me. Not sure how he would have changed when he reappears.
So far the endings for Part 1 and Part 2 are the complete kind, nothing of the ‘to be continued’ kind. But theres always room to try new things.
As the year end, news will come soon.
I hope a good mangaka will draw Part 4 if there is Part 4.

Hmm, the two new pictures still put both kits under Senjin Kettou Hen (Part 3)…
If its Part 3 then could Kakuka be the hijacker this time (like Mazaku in Shichinin Choushougun)? Or a part of Shuu is in Kakuka? Then he might become the final boss which will force Shiba-I to join forces with the good guys? Kakuka + Shuu parts look like some true chest break mode.

Wow! 22 points of articulation is indeed big news. I’m beginning to regret my decision on buying ryofu tallgeese just 2 months ago :s
Wonder if this will carry over to the rest of the latter release and a possibility of a re-release of previous version?
