4 plastic smile

Plastic Smile is yet another song from previously that never got a chance to be performed, especially during their GAME LIVE TOUR. At least this time, it was performed at a more than just decent live house. In any case, although Plastic Smile wasn’t one of favourite songs from their GAME album, I found that I was better at appreciating the song after watching their performance of it at Budoukan.

Perfume has never cease to amaze (and amuse) me, and with their current LIVE DVD out, it was set to be a blast watching the entire performance.

Thus here I am, doing a review of this fabulous DVD. I skimmed through it once, and I noticed immediately that a substantial amount of camera angles in the television broadcast version were replaced with better ones. That alone raised the experience a notch.

Another thing I noticed was the audience interaction. It was way more than what was shown on TV.

The broadcast of Perfume’s BudoukaaaaN concert, in addition to some footage of their ‘behind-the-scenes’. The performances that were left out were:
- Plastic Smile
- edge
- Butterfly

Below are the abovementioned clips extracted out from the BudoukaaaaN DVD! Somehow there’s a HD option too; probably upscaled from the DVD itself. Click the pictures for links of the video in youtube. Butterfly doesn’t have a dance performance, though. It however, has a nice PV for one of their costume changes.

Perfume has hit a second #1 place for single ‘One room Disco’ in weekly oricon charts, with the first time for their single ‘love the world’. Perfume has constantly been in the top 3 charts for their singles and album since the start of 2008.

The above picture is the DVD cover art for their BUDOUKAAAAAAAAAAN LIVE DVD. It will be retailing in Japanese CD stores for 5000yen on the 22nd April, 2009, and various online CD shops like amazon.jp or CDJapan.

Perfume’s official site has just updated an hour ago, with the CD Jacket of the upcoming single, “One-room Disco”. The above is the cover promotional picture.

Another news that came along is the release date of their “BUDOUKaaaaaaaaaaN!!!!!” DVD.

It is slated to release on April 22nd, and retailing for 5,250 yen (tax inclusive). No official title of the DVD is released, or any mention of a Blu-Ray version. I assumed there could be one, since their broadcast of their ‘Live’ was in HD format.

DVD will feature their performance of ” BUDOUKaaaaaaaaaaN!!!!! ”
at Nippon Budoukan on November 6th and 7th, 2008.
It is going to be a double disc with documentary, behind the scenes and unreleased footage.
