Yup, just yesterday news on 2 new Sangokuden kits are found online.<br />
With their release stated as next year, perhaps a Part 4 is confirmed?<br />
Or is Part 3 still a bit more from finish?</p>
<p><span id="more-3936"></span><br />
The kits are Kakuka Virsago and Genbusou Ryofu Tallgeese.<br />
Following will be some pictures and my rough translation from Happinet then some of my thoughts for the two.</p>
<hr/>
<p><strong>Kakuka Virsago (郭嘉ヴァサーゴ)</strong></p>
<p><a href="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/kakuka_plamo.jpg"><img src="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/kakuka_plamo.jpg" alt="kakuka_plamo" title="kakuka_plamo" width="500" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-3944" /></a><br />
<em>The two swords fix onto the fan</em></p>
<p>Translation from <a href="http://www.happinetonline.com/NASApp/mnas/MxMProduct?Action=prd_detail&#038;SHOP_ID=1&#038;DISPCATEGORY=000001100001&#038;Class=2&#038;KIND=0&#038;PRODUCT_ID=4543112614209">source</a>:</p>
<blockquote><p>Giga&#8217;s strategist, Kakuka Virsago, 3 mode change to be released!<br />
・ Strategist mode<br />
・ Commander mode<br />
・ Majin mode</p>
<p>■ The powerup form with parts of BB Senshi No.352 Senjin Gattai Shuu Gundam equipped [?]</p>
<p>● Kakuka Virsago<br />
A strategist of Giga and Shiba-I&#8217;s best pupil. His ingenuity and resourcefulness earned him a praise as the &#8220;young genius&#8221; from Sousou. Possess talent as cold and beautiful as ice [?]. Appears in Eiyuu Gekitotsu Hen (Part 2), now on being merchandised his design and gimmick receive a power up. </p>
<p>[Accessories] Sword x 2, fan<br />
[Contents] Runner x 3, stickers, instruction sheet (with manga)</p>
<p>■ Release date: January 2010<br />
■ Target age: 8 years and above<br />
■ Size: packaging: 205(W)x150(H)x50(D)mm</p></blockquote>
<p><a href="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/kakuka_1a.jpg"><img src="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/kakuka_1a.jpg" alt="kakuka_plamo" title="kakuka_plamo" width="500" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-3944" /></a><br />
<a href="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/kakuka_2.jpg"><img src="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/kakuka_2.jpg" alt="kakuka_plamo" title="kakuka_plamo" width="500" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-3944" /></a></p>
<p><em><strong>Thoughts</strong></em><br />
With Kaku and Houtou both dead in the current Part 3, Kakuka is the last of the Three Excellencies of Giga. Feels like Giga will be crushed by end of Part 3 leaving Sousou to bring it up again.</p>
<p>Kakuka has a new design (<a href="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/kakuka_imgl1.gif">old design</a>) with three modes, two are shown but which two? Is the one similar to Chest Break mode the Commander(武将) mode or Majin(魔神) mode? Or is the not shown power up form with Shuu Gundam parts the Majin mode? If not then could the old design be the strategist mode? [EDIT] Now made clear with the new picture added.</p>
<p>Equipped with Shuu parts? So what is Kakuka? A remanent of Shuu? A new evil? A Shuu possession? Also as shown in the <a href="http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=C45B39508FB015A2">animated PVs</a>, the three &#8220;bad guys&#8221; are Shuu, Kakuka and Toutaku.</p>
<p>Will he be part of Part 3&#8217;s endgame or have a role to play if there is a Part 4?</p>
<p><a href="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/kakuka.jpg"><img src="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/kakuka.jpg" alt="kakuka_plamo" title="kakuka_plamo" width="500" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-3944" /></a><br />
<em>Ok, the forms are all there, even the Shuu parts equipped form</em></p>
<hr/>
<p><strong>Genbusou Ryofu Tallgeese (玄武装 呂布トールギス)</strong></p>
<p><a href="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/ryofu1.jpg"><img src="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/ryofu1.jpg" alt="ryofu1" title="ryofu1" width="500" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-3946" /></a><br />
<em>Elbow joints!! A new-gen Sangokuden kit design?</em></p>
<p>Translation from <a href="http://www.happinetonline.com/NASApp/mnas/MxMProduct?Action=prd_detail&#038;SHOP_ID=1&#038;DISPCATEGORY=000001100001&#038;Class=2&#038;KIND=0&#038;PRODUCT_ID=4543112614193">source</a>:</p>
<blockquote><p>All new design Ryofu returns with a power up!</p>
<p>■ 22 joints, a pursuit of full articulation, 170% improvement over the previous Ryofu. Purple part on the helm, mask, visor will be clear parts<br />
■ Equipped with a big-scale halberd<br />
■ Backpack combines into shield</p>
<p>● Genbusou Ryofu Tallgeese<br />
A well known and mighty warrior. Yearning to battle with more powerful opponents joins the Toutaku Troops in Sangokuden Part 1. After the decisive battle with the anti-Toutaku alliance his whereabouts are unknown, now returns with a power up.</p>
<p>[Accessories] Halberd, Shield<br />
[Contents] Runner x 7, stickers, instruction sheet (with manga)</p>
<p>■ Release date: January 2010<br />
■ Target age: 8 years and above<br />
■ Size: packaging: 205(W)x150(H)x50(D)mm</p></blockquote>
<p><a href="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/ryofu2.jpg"><img src="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/ryofu2.jpg" alt="ryofu1" title="ryofu1" width="500" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-3946" /></a></p>
<p><em><strong>Thoughts</strong></em><br />
No jumbo set for Ryofu this time, phew. Now clad in white armor with more of those hexegonal turtle shell pattern on it. I suppose the armor is called Genbusou(Genbu Armament)? <a href="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/ryofu_imgl.gif">Clawed and black</a> before, now he is white and spiky :P.</p>
<p>Genbu(玄武) is one of the <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Four_Symbols_(Chinese_constellation)">Four Symbols</a>, associated anmal is the tortoise. The Three Lords are also associated with the Four Symbols. The stylized turtle emblem on (previous) Ryofu&#8217;s box and the Shinbu mode of the Tengyokugai also hints on Ryofu&#8217;s relationship with the Genbu symbol. In the manga version an additional scene is added in the second compiled volume of Part 1 to show that he has survived and his appearance in a panel of <a href="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/2009/03/sangokuden-entering-the-3-kingdoms-era/">Part 3&#8217;s preview</a> suggest that his role in Sangokuden is not finished yet. Also in the Comic World on his instruction sheet, the purple part is also glowing when the Gyokuji is activated.</p>
<p>But the mythology only talked about The Three Lords, Jyakushi, Kogyou and Ryuutei. What did Ryofu become? A new Fourth Lord? Or he has awoken to some unknown Fourth Lord? What about his own country, a fourth Kingdom?</p>
<p>If he is the first kit of a supposedly Part 4 then he could be the protagonist then? If so, what could Part 4 be about? About what happened to him after Part 1? As Part 3 seems to be derailing from the literature, could Part 4 be original? Also with him in Part 3&#8217;s preview could he be in Part 3 and theres no Part 4?</p>
<p><a href="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/2009/07/latest-for-sengokuden-and-sangokuden/">Still wondering</a>, could he have lost his memory and become Kouseki after Part 1? (But Ryofu has purple eyes..who is Kouseki?)</p>
<p>Part 4 not confirmed yet but have a good chance.<br />
All speculations for now&#8230;</p>
<p><a href="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/ryofu.jpg"><img src="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/ryofu.jpg" alt="kakuka_plamo" title="kakuka_plamo" width="500" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-3944" /></a><br />
<em>A look at the backpack/shield gimmick</em></p>

Ok, here it is.
This month&#8217;s Sangokuden chapter is pretty action-packed&#8230;

Felt like going a bit more in depth this time.
I&#8217;ll split the chapter to these sub-parts:
- Kan-pei revives
- Shuu possessed Sonsaku
- Ankoku Gyokuji Psycho awakening
- Darkness abound in Rakuyou
- Ryuubi returns
- Kan-pei succeeds Kan-u
The following pictures does not cover the whole chapter, I did skip some.

Ok, here it is.<br />
This month&#8217;s Sangokuden chapter is pretty action-packed&#8230;</p>
<p><span id="more-3879"></span><br />
Felt like going a bit more in depth this time.<br />
I&#8217;ll split the chapter to these sub-parts:<br />
- Kan-pei revives<br />
- Shuu possessed Sonsaku<br />
- Ankoku Gyokuji Psycho awakening<br />
- Darkness abound in Rakuyou<br />
- Ryuubi returns<br />
- Kan-pei succeeds Kan-u</p>
<p>The following pictures does not cover the whole chapter, I did skip some.<br />
But I&#8217;ll try to cover most of the chapter in words.</p>
<p>And also there seems to be pictures of probably another set of Sangokuden exclusive weapon parts on the net, more on that after the chapter.</p>
<hr/>
<p>Continuing from <a href="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/2009/09/sangokuden-designs-official/">last month&#8217;s</a> losing (also action-packed) struggle of the Kan-u team and Taishiji in the darkness overran Gou&#8230;</p>
<p><strong>Kanpei revives</strong></p>
<p><img src="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/1.jpg" alt="0" title="ARRRGGGHHH!!" width="500" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-3882" /></p>
<p>[Unhealed wound opens]<br />
Shuusou: Kan-u hold on there<br />
Shuusou: Lets retreat for now!<br />
Kan-u: ARGH!! W..What hero!!<br />
Kan-u: Not being able to save one&#8217;s beloved son..what<br />
Kan-u: Whats about being unequaled!! ARRRGGGHHH!!</p>
<p><a href="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/2.jpg"><img src="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/2.jpg" alt="0" title="the light" width="500" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-3882" /></a></p>
<p>[a light from the skies shines on the frozen Kan-pei]<br />
Shuusou: w..wha..<br />
Kan-u: (T..This light. Ryuubi-dono&#8230;)<br />
[Kan-pei revives! Equipped with the Ryuukihou armor, Kan-u's piece]<br />
Kan-u: Kan-pei<br />
Kan-pei: Th..This armor is!?</p>
<p><em>skipping some pics.. chunks of text means picture skip :P</em><br />
Kan-u reminds his son of the task at hand, to extinguish the dark flame (which is coming out from the mouth of a great tiger statue atop a cliff). With an Oogakiringeki, Kan-pei smashes the tiger statue to pieces.<br />
But he seem to have awoken and freed something thats inside&#8230;</p>
<p><strong>Shuu possessed Sonsaku</strong></p>
<p><a href="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/3.jpg"><img src="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/3.jpg" alt="0" title="Shuu possessed Sonsaku" width="500" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-3882" /></a><br />
<em>I&#8217;ll refer to him as Shuu</em></p>
<p>Shuu looks down at the three. Kan-pei is scared stiff at this monster before him. Kan-u and Shuusou look from below. Without warning Shuu threw tentacles of dark energy towards Kan-pei throwing him against the rocks. </p>
<p>As the dark energy weave through the grounds, Kan-u comments on the overwhelming level of dark energy.<br />
A struggling Kan-pei wonders why this monster is in Gou&#8230;</p>
<p><strong>Ankoku Gyokuji Psycho awakening<br />
Darkness abound in Rakuyou</strong></p>
<p>At capital Rakuyou, in the secret shrine of the giant Ankouku Gyokuji&#8230;</p>
<p>Shiba-En held on to his left chest. Seems to be pain. He is forced down on his knees. &#8220;uu..th..the Darkness&#8230;&#8221;</p>
<p><a href="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/4.jpg"><img src="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/4.jpg" alt="0" title="begining of the end?" width="500" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-3882" /></a></p>
<p>En: The Darkness&#8230;is coming<br />
[A piece of the giant Ankouku Gyokuji cracks off...]<br />
[The palace rumbling...]<br />
**After his last appearrance in April, he is now in Gundam mode?**<br />
Kyou-i: W..Whats going on?<br />
Kyou-i: Got to go protect his Majesty<br />
[Kyou-i hurries off...]</p>
<p>Kyou-i: Your Majesty<br />
Kyou-i: What!?<br />
[scene of blood greets Kyou-i]<br />
Teiiku: u..uuu<br />
Kyou-i: Sensei!!<br />
Kyou-i: Hang in there Sensei, what happened?<br />
Teiiku: T..Take this to Shou&#8230;<br />
Kyou-i: This is?<br />
[as Kyou-i receives the scroll...]</p>
<p><a href="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/5.jpg"><img src="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/5.jpg" alt="0" title="puppets of darkness" width="500" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-3882" /></a><br />
<em>The Emperor parts and the 2 swords are now with Souhi</em></p>
<p>[Kyou-i fends of the sneak attack]<br />
Kyou-i: Your Majesty?<br />
Kyou-i: Enryuu Kiringeki!!<br />
[Kyou-i escapes and looks back at the darkness overrun Souhi and court officials]<br />
Teiiku: Hurry..to..Shou<br />
Kyou-i: SENSEI!!</p>
<p><strong>Ryuubi returns</strong></p>
<p>Back at Gappi, Gou&#8230;</p>
<p>Kan-pei is having a hard time battling Shuu, being thrown about and finally Shuu chance upon a fallen Kan-pei. But Kan-u rushes to cover for his son&#8230;</p>
<p><a href="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/6.jpg"><img src="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/6.jpg" alt="0" title="Kan-u the MAN" width="500" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-3882" /></a></p>
<p>Shuusou: General!!<br />
Kan-pei: Father!! **kanji writes foster father but hiragana writes father**<br />
Kan-u: GUAAAA!!!</p>
<p>Kan-u: Even if this body crumbles<br />
Kan-u: For Mirisha&#8230;our country<br />
Kan-u: DAOOOO!!!</p>
<p>Kan-u lands the hammer onto Shuu, pieces under the head is knocked out. Under which revels a shadowy face which Kan-u recognize. But before he could say more, Shuu stranggles Kan-u and crush him into the rocks. Kan-pei rushes over but suddenly there is a streak of light&#8230;</p>
<p><a href="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/7.jpg"><img src="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/7.jpg" alt="0" title="finally" width="500" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-3882" /></a></p>
<p>Ryuubi: Alright there, Kan-u?<br />
**look at Kan-u&#8217;s expression, priceless :P**</p>
<p><a href="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/8a.jpg"><img src="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/8a.jpg" alt="0" title="Ryuubi returns" width="500" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-3882" /></a></p>
<p>Kan-u: Ryu..Ryuubi-dono!!</p>
<p>Kan-u: Ryu..Ryubi-san<br />
Kan-pei: Father!<br />
Ryuubi: Be on your guard<br />
Kan-pei: ?<br />
Ryuubi: Its not over yet<br />
[Shuu comes up, using darkness to control the frozen marines]</p>
<p><a href="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/8.jpg"><img src="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/8.jpg" alt="0" title="new sword!" width="500" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-3882" /></a><br />
<em>Possible new variant of the old Ryuubi kit with new swords&#8230;</em></p>
<p>Ryuubi: The ones who are trapped by darkness<br />
Ryuubi: This spell, the dragon shall break!!<br />
Shin Ryuuteiken Hajyakensei !!</p>
<p>**not sure where the 4 are now**<br />
Bachou: This is<br />
Chou-un: The Ryuukihou is shining..<br />
Kochou: Why is this happening<br />
Chouhi: Don&#8217;t tell me Aniki has..<br />
Koumei: The power of the dragon which purifies darkness&#8230;finally<br />
Sousou: It is time</p>
<p>From Ryuubi a power burst out in the form of a flame dragon. As the dragon weaves through the marines it freed them from the darkness. Ryomou and Kannei regain their selves. Taishiji unfroze. &#8220;Is Gou saved?&#8221;, he asked. &#8220;No, not yet&#8221;, Ryuubi replied.</p>
<p>Shuu, with darkness smoking out, doesn&#8217;t look pleased. &#8220;Ryu..ryuu..te..i..ke..en&#8221;, Shuu speaks. The worn out Kan-u arises wanting to finish off Shuu but he is at his limit. Kan-pei runs over to him as he coughs&#8230;</p>
<p><strong>Kan-pei succeeds Kan-u</strong></p>
<p><a href="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/9.jpg"><img src="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/9.jpg" alt="0" title="the man thing" width="500" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-3882" /></a></p>
<p>Kan-u: Kan-pei, what are you doing<br />
Kan-u: If you are a man you sould know what you ought to be doing<br />
[Ryuubi understands Kan-u]<br />
[Ryuubi handing over Kan-u's Oogaryuugetsutou]<br />
Ryuubi: Kan-pei, are you going to do it?<br />
Kan-pei: I..I</p>
<p>[Kan-pei receives the Oogaryuugetsutou]<br />
Kan-pei: (T..This is father&#8217;s..)<br />
Kan-pei: Father<br />
Kan-pei: I&#8217;ll finish the rest.<br />
Kan-u: umu<br />
Ryuubi: Let&#8217;s go<br />
Kan-pei: Yes!</p>
<p>Kan-pei and Ryuubi charge towards Shuu as they stake their lives to defeat Shuu&#8230;</p>
<p><a href="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/10.jpg"><img src="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/10.jpg" alt="0" title="boys to men" width="500" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-3882" /></a></p>
<p>[Kan-pei gives it his all]<br />
Shuusou: General, now is the time to tend to your wounds<br />
Kan-u: I&#8217;m fine, Shuusou<br />
Kan-u: To be able to see my beloved son giving his all<br />
Kan-u: The pain of the wound..</p>
<p>Kan-u: (You&#8217;ve become strong, Kan-pei..)<br />
Kan-u: (Fu..that figure its like) </p>
<p><img src="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/11.jpg" alt="0" title="a father's feelings" width="500" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-3882" /></p>
<p>Kan-u: (- no, its not like me..)<br />
Kan-u: (This father knows better than anyone)<br />
Kan-u: (You have become a man, Kan-pei!!)<br />
**Kanji writes &#8220;hero&#8221; but hiragana writes &#8220;man&#8221;**<br />
Kan-pei: (Please look, father)<br />
Kan-pei: (Right now, right here, everything that is inherited from you!!)</p>

<hr/>
<p><a name="12"></a>Finally the bit on the possible new weapons parts.</p>
<p><img src="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/new_sango_weapons2.jpg" alt="0" title="!!!" width="500" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-3882" /></p>
<p>Tadaa!!<br />
Twelve weapons, interconnectable with each other to form all kinds of weapons</p>
<p>Twelve weapons, wonder how many more extra kits one must get to complete the set. (Three or four weapons per runner?)<br />
Clever marketing? :P</p>
<p><a href="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/new_sango_weapons.jpg"><img src="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/new_sango_weapons.jpg" alt="0" title="!!!" width="500" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-3882" /></a><br />
Looks similar to the clear Ryuukihou armor.</p>
<p>Anyway I&#8217;m not sure if this is new stuff or confirmed stuff, just happened to chance upon it at a <a href="http://www.komica.org/">Chinese imageboard</a>. Ok, found the original source right <a href="http://www.toy-world.com.hk/forum/viewthread.php?tid=20160&#038;extra=page%3D1">here</a> (more pics of the twelve weapons there).</p>
<hr/>
<p>Almost forgot.<br />
This month&#8217;s Kero Kero Ace has got three &#8220;Hero Seals&#8221;</p>
<p><img src="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/card_front.jpg" alt="0" title="!!!" width="500" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-3882" /><br />
<em>Front face</em></p>
<p><img src="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/card_back.jpg" alt="0" title="!!!" width="500" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-3882" /><br />
<em>Reverse face</em></p>
<p>Flimsy as they are just stickers.</p>
<hr/>
<p>Ok, its the end of the long Sangokuden post.<br />
Hope you enjoy it!</p>
<p>Next month then!</p>

<p>Many fans have asked if theres any anime of Sangokuden after watching the animated <a href="http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=C45B39508FB015A2">promo clips</a> of the series. The news was announced on Thursday(today) at the Bandai booth in the 49th All Japan Plamodel Hobby Show. More details to come at a later date.</p>
<p><a href="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/sango_anime.jpg"><img src="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/sango_anime.jpg" alt="sango_anime" title="sango_anime" width="500" height="375" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-3720" /></a><br />

<p>From that picture it looks like it might be a 3DCG (I think the term is cell-shaded?) anime like the previous SD Gundam Force anime, perhaps in the style of the recent <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3tcNzVH3Q-E">Senjin Kettou Hen PV</a>. Will be disappointed if its 3DCG but happy nevertheless for SD Gundams getting another anime after a long time.</p>
<p>Do drop by at <a href="http://ngeekhiong.blogspot.com/">Ngee Khiong&#8217;s</a> to see pics of many new kits including pics of the new Sangokuden and Sengokuden releases. (Doubt that I&#8217;ll have time to do some rant post about them)</p>
<p>[EDIT] Added the teaser video from Ngee Khiong&#8217;s into the <a href="http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=C45B39508FB015A2">playlist</a>.</p>

<em>The appearance of the Shiba family in the manga.</em></p>
<p>Remember the <a href="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/2009/09/doujin-or-official-new-designs-for-sangokuden/">previous post</a> about the two Sangokuden designs?</p>
<p>Looks like it most likely official.</p>
<p><span id="more-3684"></span></p>
<p>Yup, in addition to Shuu Neue Ziel <a href="http://ngeekhiong.blogspot.com/2009/09/bb-senshi-sangokuden-taishiji-doms.html">appearing in the Comic World version</a>, we now have the three Shiba family members appearing in the Kero Kero Ace manga version (though there are differences in the story in both versions).</p>
<p>What are they up to, heres a peek:</p>
<hr width = '50%'/>
<p>From last month&#8217;s Koumei and Moukaku versus &#8220;Grand Master Gundam&#8221; Houtou (Houtou+Four Heavenly Kings of the South+Ankoku Gyokuji) at The South. This month&#8217;s chapter brought us back to Mirisha&#8230;</p>
<p><img src="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/sango1.jpg" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-3685" /><br />
[Giga Capital - Rakuyou]<br />
chanting&#8230;<br />
Shiba Shou, Shiba En and Shiba Shi</p>
<p><img src="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/sango2.jpg" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-3685" /><br />
En: &#8230;<br />
Shi: Whats wrong, Shiba En?<br />
En: Father is here<br />
Shou: Father huh&#8230;<br />
En: Father<br />
I: thats alright please just carry on chanting<br />
En: Yes, father!<br />
I: hows the progress, Shiba Shi<br />
Shi: Everything is going well here, father</p>
<p><img src="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/sango3.jpg" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-3685" /><br />
<em>A giant Ankouku Gyokuji?</em><br />
Shou: Is everything going well outside?<br />
I: Seiryou, The South and Gou have fallen to the Darkness [rough]<br />
Shou: Oh thats good news<br />
Shi: Yes&#8230;indeed<br />
I: Um<br />
I: The awakening of the Darkness&#8230;draws near</p>
<p><strong>Some thoughts</strong><br />
So the three sons are kept hidden somewhere in Rakuyou all the time? Brewing darkness?<br />
Still not sure how Shuu will appearing in the manga version. Perhaps the chanting plus giant Ankoku Gyokuji is to call on the war deity?<br />
Whats with Shiba En in the last frame of the last picture? Possession? Something creeping out?<br />
Somehow the three sons seem to have their own agenda to me.</p>
<p>The Ankouku Gyokuji, the three Shiba members. Only Shuu left to realize the gattai.</p>
<p>Somehow this Guokuji and Ankouku Gyokuji thing reminds me of <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shin_SD_Sengokuden_Chijou_Saikyou_Hen">Chijou Saikyou Hen</a>.</p>
<hr width = '50%'/>
Yup, Gou is overrun by darkness.</p>
<p>The sight that greets Taishiji when he returns from his solo recon mission at Giga:<br />
<img src="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/sango4.jpg" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-3685" /><br />
The main decision makers of Gou frozen by darkness.</p>
<p>Besides the reveal of the Shiba family, the chapter also feature the struggle of the Kan-U Team and Taishiji in the darkness overrun Gou.<br />
Just like the Comic World version, in this chapter the Marines are controlled by darkness not by Shuu but by a dark flame which Kan-pei and Taishiji tried to extinguish but fail and got frozen themselves.</p>
<p>Roughly these are the two main events of the chapter.<br />
Perhaps the awakening of Sonken is near. </p>

<strong>Goutaitei Sonken Gundam &#038; Korinpaku<br />
(轟大帝孫権ガンダム &#038; 虎隣魄)</strong><br />
<a href="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/goutaitei.jpg"><img src="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/goutaitei.jpg" alt="" title="Click for big" width="500" height="392" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-3394" /></a></p>
<p>Ok the words say Sonken(孫権, GP03-son) but the design shows Sonken(孫堅, GP01-father).<br />
Some error on similar names?</p>
<p>Anyway in the manga version Sonken and Sonsaku are dead and Gou is left in the hands of young Sonken.<br />
This form could probably be the form assumed by Sonken when he awakens to Kogyou.</p>
<p>If this design is official then Ryuubi and Sonken both got new designs for their awakened forms.<br />
Poor Sousou.<br />
Or there is more to Sousou?<br />
Ryuubi has the Ryuukihou, Sonken has Korinpaku and Sousou is missing his phoenix animal mecha.</p>
<hr/>
<strong>Senjin Gattai Shuu Gundam<br />
(戦神合体　蚩尤ガンダム)</strong><br />
<a href="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/shuu.jpg"><img src="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/shuu.jpg" alt="Click for big" title="Click for big" width="500" height="392" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-3399" /></a></p>
<p>A combiner!<br />
Made up of the sons and grandson of Shiba-I and Shuu with Ankoku Gyokuji.</p>
<p>Hmm, so the sons of Shiba-I &#8211; Shiba Shou(司馬 昭) and Shiba Shi(司馬 師), could be played by Ξ Gundam and Penalope Gundam and the grandson Shiba En(司馬 炎) by Char&#8217;s Zaku II. And the Neue Ziel silhouette we&#8217;ve been seeing in the promo clips is unveiled to be Shuu(蚩尤).</p>
<p>Refering to the <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chi_You">wiki article</a>, Shuu is not a RoTK character but is a war deity in Chinese mythology.</p>
<p>And Ankoku Gyokuji Psycho Gundam&#8230;<br />
The Ankoku Gyokuji are the black Gyokuji(that dragon head imperial seal) that the Giga Three Excellencies have been seen using in the manga version.</p>
<p>The Shiba family, a war deity and a twisted magical item?<br />
The final boss?</p>
<hr/>

<em>What happened!?</em></p>
<p>Got these off the Chiana Square Central flea market early this month. Humable Model is a series of prize item (I suppose for those UFO catcher and prize machines at the arcade) poseable figures by Banpresto. The two are <a href="http://www.mahq.net/mecha/gundam/g/gf13-017nj2.htm">God Gundam</a> and <a href="http://www.mahq.net/mecha/gundam/g/gf13-001nh2.htm">Master Gundam</a> from 1994-1995 Gundam work, <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mobile_Fighter_G_Gundam">Mobile Fighter G Gundam</a>. Past designs include RX-78, Zaku-II and GM.</p>
<p>Pretty weird name, wonder whats to hum about :P<br />
(&#8221;Humable&#8221; probably relates to &#8220;human&#8221; as the katakana &#8220;ヒューマバル&#8221; suggests)</p>
<hr style="width:50%;align:center;"/>
<p><strong>Packaging</strong><br />
<img src="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/packing1.jpg" title="front" width="230" height="173" /><img src="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/packing2.jpg" title="side" width="230" height="173" /><br />
<img src="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/packing3.jpg" title="top/bottom" width="230" height="173" /><img src="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/packing41.jpg" title="back" width="230" height="173" /><br />
<em>Sides of the box</em></p>
<p>The figures come in a similar simple printed box. The 2 sides of the box have perforated half-circles perhaps used to fit in some prize machine?</p>
<p><img src="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/inside1.jpg" title="How its packed" width="230" height="173" /><img src="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/inside2.jpg" title="Contents lay out" width="230" height="173" /><br />
<em>The packing inside. Master Gundam is packed similarly, see <a href="http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b392/bland_life/04%20%20Humable%20Model/?start=all"><strong>gallery</strong></a> for pictures</em></p>
<p>The packing inside comes to me as minimal but thoughtful. Rolled up pocketed plastic bags of the pieces separated by a folder cardboard, nicely minimizing knocking and rubbing of parts. As you see in the picture they require minor assembly.</p>
<hr style="width:50%;align:center;"/>
<p><strong>Figure</strong></p>
<li>Paint Job</li>
<p><img src="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/paint1.jpg" width="230" height="173" /><img src="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/paint2.jpg" width="230" height="173" /><br />
<em>Both figures are about 14 cm tall. Bigger pictures at the <a href="http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b392/bland_life/04%20%20Humable%20Model/?start=all"><strong>gallery</strong></a>.</em></p>
<p>The paint job is not as impressive compared to the upper class poseable figures as expected but it is neatly done. Don&#8217;t want to mess around with paneling it or painting it as I not sure if the material will react to marker and paints (My painted SD Gundam gachapons seem absorb the panel line and the painted area becomes sticky T^T).</p>
<li>Head</li>
<p><img src="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/head1.jpg" width="230" height="173" /><img src="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/head2.jpg" width="230" height="173" /><br />
<em>God Gundam could use some panel line but I rather not.</em></p>
<p>The hole at the heads are small, I had to force them into the neck ball joint. The neck joint has a pretty nice front-back tilt, of course with the must have left-right twist. Nicely scuplted heads, no twisted face, big small eyes whatsoever.</p>
<li>Body</li>
<p><img src="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/body1.jpg" width="230" height="173" /><img src="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/body2.jpg" width="230" height="173" /></p>
<p>Both figures have a nicely articulated waist, bends forwards, back, left, right and does a nice twist.</p>
<li>Arms</li>
<p><img src="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/arm1.jpg" width="230" height="173" /><img src="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/arm2.jpg" width="230" height="173" /></p>
<p>Single-jointed eblows, acceptable for me as they bend up enough. Both come with another set of open fists but it quite hard to switch the fists. The hole at the fist is smaller in order to cup onto a double ball joint piece that connects the fist to the arm. </p>
<li>Legs</li>
<p><img src="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/leg1.jpg" width="230" height="173" /><img src="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/leg2.jpg" width="230" height="173" /></p>
<p>Nice articulation for the legs too. Does squating and half kneel fine.</p>
<li>Others</li>
<p><img src="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/other1.jpg" width="230" height="173" /><img src="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/other2.jpg" width="230" height="173" /></p>
<p>Master Gundam&#8217;s joints are looser and smoother compared to God Gundam&#8217;s but God Gundam&#8217;s joints hold better. Master Gundam also has better details compared to God Gundam. The red part of God Gundam&#8217;s &#8220;wings&#8221; is not in line with the white parts, it angled out forward. Master Gundam becomes pretty unstable when you spread out the wings.</p>
<p>Overall these Humable Models are fun to play with and they handle quite a variety of poses too.</p>
<hr style="width:50%;align:center;"/>
<p><strong>Some Fun</strong></p>
<p><img src="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/fun1.jpg" width="230" height="173" /><img src="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/fun2.jpg" width="230" height="173" /><br />
<img src="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/fun3.jpg" width="230" height="173" /><img src="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/fun4.jpg" width="230" height="173" /><br />

Its coming.<br />
The XN Raiser conversion kit, its coming on the 25th next month with the October issue of Hobby Japan.<br />
Ok, this post will kind of recap on this furoku kit and talk about 2 interesting fan variations (8 swords? 13 swords?) involving the XN Raiser design.<br />
<span id="more-3021"></span></p>
<p>About the title, XN(ザン) is pronounced as &#8220;Zan&#8221; and the kanji &#8220;斬&#8221; also reads as &#8220;Zan&#8221;. &#8220;斬&#8221; has the &#8220;to cut or slash&#8221; meaning which relates to the huge GN Buster Sword III of the 00 XN Raiser.</p>
<p>Next we&#8217;ll look into what we know about the XN Raiser from pictures from the net:<br />
<a href="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/xan1.jpg"><img src="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/xan1-218x300.jpg" alt="xan1" title="xan1" width="218" height="300" class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-3027" /></a><a href="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/xan2.jpg"><img src="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/xan2-218x300.jpg" alt="xan2" title="xan2" width="218" height="300" class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-3029" /></a><br />
<em>The first announcement of XN Raiser in an issue of Hobby Japan if I&#8217;m not wrong</em></p>
<p>The XN Raiser is designed by <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kanetake_Ebikawa">Kanetake Ebikawa</a>, who also designed Exia, Astraea, 00 and other mecha designs in Gundam 00 and other series (check out the link ;)). Its part of the ongoing &#8220;00V&#8221; series serializing in Hobby Japan. Hobby Japan hits its 40th anniversary this August so a XN Raiser coversion kit is produced and bundled with that month&#8217;s issue as an anniversary special (similar to Dengeki Hobby&#8217;s 10th Anniversary with Rasiel and Sefer). </p>
<p><a href="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/runner.jpg"><img src="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/runner-400x265.jpg" alt="runner" title="runner" width="400" height="265" class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-3031" /></a><br />
<em>The runner of the conversion kit exhibited.</em></p>
<p>With that I suppose the full specs and story (probably some excuse why it isn&#8217;t deployed) of the XN Raiser will be known when the issue comes out next month. What is obvious from the pictures is the GN Buster Sword III (GN Buster Sword II is part of the <a href="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/2008/10/00v-gundam-00-%e2%80%987-swords%e2%80%99-msv-part-2/">00 Seven Sword</a> armaments) which can be used as 2 swords or combined to 1 sword. The XN Raiser also has 2 subarms to hold extra weaponery. </p>
<p><a href="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/xn.jpg"><img src="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/xn-218x300.jpg" alt="xn" title="xn" width="218" height="300" class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-3033" /></a></p>
<p>XN Raiser docks with 00 Gundam to become 00 XN Raiser but the sole XN unit/parts combine with 00 Gundam to become XN 00 Gundam.<br />
As usual the October issue will have a &#8220;how to&#8221; guide to building the XN Raiser.</p>
<p><a href="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/xn-raiser1.jpg"><img src="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/xn-raiser1-217x300.jpg" alt="xn-raiser1" title="xn-raiser1" width="217" height="300" class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-3034" /></a><a href="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/xn-raiser2.jpg"><img src="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/xn-raiser2-217x300.jpg" alt="xn-raiser2" title="xn-raiser2" width="217" height="300" class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-3035" /></a><br />
<em>Actually the XN parts are as &#8220;sociable&#8221; as GN Sefer</em></p>
<p>Later on it is revealed that the XN parts can be used on other 00 season 2 CB Gundams and MS too (Seravee has 8 arms now!). But just like <a href="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/2008/11/00-matters-gn-x-missing-link-gn-sefer-connectivity/">Sefer&#8217;s connectivity</a> this is only a plamo original gimmick and not part of the Sunrise official settings. Thats not all that that the XN parts can connect with, the picture says that you may find other combinations with your imagination (maybe one with Arche Gundam?).</p>
<hr/>
<p>Ok, that pretty much sum up on the XN Raiser.<br />
Now to the fanmade variations.</p>
<p><img src="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/xn.jpg" /><br />
<em>Familiar? Yup, you&#8217;ve seen it in a <a href="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/2009/06/master-grade-gundam-exia-and-customized-xn-raiser/">previous post</a>.</em></p>
<p>First variation, dubbed &#8220;00 Raiser Eight Sword&#8221; by its creator.<br />
The base kit is a HG 1/144 00 Raiser with the other parts scratchbuilt.<br />
Taller then the base kit as its on high heels :P</p>
<p>See the worklog of this kit <a href="http://ameblo.jp/acquabbb/theme-10012767709.html">here</a>.<br />
The kit was eventually <a href="http://page18.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/w38725011">auctioned</a> off for 125,000yen (starting from 1yen, ended with 65 bids).</p>
<p>Second variation.<br />
<img src="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/var2.jpg" alt="var2" title="var2" width="500" height="500" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-3040" /></p>
<p>Its a 3DCG design.<br />
A combination of 00 XN Raiser and the 00 Seven Sword equipment with an extra GN Sword III.<br />
Not bad, has the big and heavy feel.</p>
<p>You can find more of his CG art <a href="http://zefai.sakura.ne.jp/c/cg.php">here</a>.<br />
Quite a few realistic renders and wallpapers there.</p>

<p>I have been posting news about gunpla last week of every month, or early in the month, so let&#8217;s keep it a Bonkurasu monthly segment. I&#8217;ll only blog on gunpla/news that interests me. First up, is news on the latest 00V &#8216;mod&#8217;. </p>
<p><span id="more-2961"></span><br />
<a href="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/gunpla/00Vb.jpg"><img src="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/gunpla/small/00Vb.jpg" alt=/></a></p>
<p>The variation for Seravee Gundam, by and large, have 2 extra &#8216;bots&#8217; to utilize. Reminds me of Gundam X&#8217;s &#8216;AI&#8217; bots. The bots are mounted onto the main bot, Seraphim, of which its shoulder armors have connecting holes. </p>
<p>Of course, this design is Bandai&#8217;s scheme to pro-modellers to buy more 1/144 Seraphims for this mod. Grrr. Well, I&#8217;m not one of them. =P<br />
=====</p>
<p>Next up; Gunpla news:</p>
<p><em><strong>Universal Century:</strong></em><br />
<strong>Master Grade Guntank</strong>; <em>September release, 5,040 Yen</em></p>
<p><a href="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/gunpla/MGT.jpg"><img src="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/gunpla/small/MGT.jpg" alt=/></a></p>
<p>For almost 3 years, Bandai has been elusive of their release of the Master Grade Guntank. At long last, this rendition of the good&#8217;ol Guntank is as good, if not better, than the Master Grade Gundam 2.0. Details of the kit raised another bar for the Master Grade series, but the tracks will be a pain to sand off all the nubs though.<br />
====</p>
<p><strong>HG 1/144 Full Armor Gundam (7th Unit)</strong>; <em>September release, 1575 yen</em><br />
<a href="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/gunpla/FA7.jpg"><img src="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/gunpla/small/FA7.jpg" alt=/></a></p>
<p>The color scheme made it look too much like a toy. Don&#8217;t get me wrong; I love the design, just that I hate the official color scheme. I&#8217;d love to paint it into Prototype Gundam colors, or even G-3 colors. </p>
<p>====<br />
<strong>HG 1/144 Kshatriya</strong>; <em>October release, 4725 yen</em><br />
<a href="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/gunpla/kashguc.jpg"><img src="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/gunpla/small/kashguc.jpg" alt=/></a></p>
<p>This humongous beast of a Mobile Suit finally has a kit rendition. Despite being scaled at 1/144, it&#8217;s the next kit after HGUC 1/144 Psycho Gundam to hit over the 18cm mark (that&#8217;s the size for most 1/100 Gundam kits). With its height at 20cm, and perhaps more width-wise, this kit totally puts the cost smack right in the same league as the usual Master Grade kits. Heck, it&#8217;s more expensive than the Master Grade Gundam Exia!</p>
<p>====<br />
Alternate Century:</p>
<p><strong>HG 1/144 Reborns Gundam</strong> &#8211; <em>September release, 1,890 Yen</em></p>
<p><strong>HG 1/144 Gaddess</strong> &#8211; <em>August release, 1,680 Yen</em><br />
<a href="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/gunpla/ribbons.jpg"><img src="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/gunpla/small/ribbons.jpg" alt=/></a></p>
<p>I was all hyped up and really to purchase the Reborns Gundam when it releases, but after a few months, my interest level waned, and I didn&#8217;t feel like building the kit anymore, not when the upcoming release date is on September. </p>
<p>Gaddess was kind of cool, with the the parts of the effects of 1/144 Cherudium&#8217;s bits doing its final attack mode on Gaddess bundled inside. Good diorama gimmick there, Bandai.</p>
<p>====</p>
<p>Others:</p>
<p><strong>Custom Decals (Klan Klang/ Ranka) for VF-25</strong><br />
<a href="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/gunpla/decal.jpg"><img src="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/gunpla/small/decal.jpg" alt=/></a></p>
<p>Honestly speaking, after building those&#8230;. &#8216;kits&#8217;, I&#8217;d very much rather use the decals onto my cellphone/laptop/anything else but buidling another kit just for this. </p>
<p>====<br />
<strong>Soul of Chogokin Shin Mazinger Z (w/God Scrander)</strong>; <em>October release, 9240 yen</em></p>
<p><strong>Soul of Chogokin Energer Z</strong>; <em>August release, 6615 yen</em></p>
<p><a href="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/gunpla/maz.jpg"><img src="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/gunpla/small/maz.jpg" alt=/></a></p>
<p>Both S.O.Cs looking really spiffy, and Energer Z&#8217;s design was weird to me at first, but it started to grow on me&#8230;. gradually. Heheheh. </p>

From the Tokyo Toy Show comes more news on the 2 new SD Gundam series.<br />
Well, I&#8217;m quite disappointed actually.</p>
<p><span id="more-2864"></span><br />
Ok, lets start from Sangokuden first.<br />
The new series is called Sangokuden Gaiden Buyuu Gekitou Roku(三国伝外伝　武勇激闘録 roughly translated, Sangokuden Sidestory: Heroic Clash Chronicles). From Kentarou Yano&#8217;s(the mangaka of Eiyuu Gekitosu Hen) <a href="http://yanoken.blog42.fc2.com/">blog</a> we know that it is a close up clash record of episodes that involve various characters that are not featured in the main story. The story is set before the Red Cliff battles, beginning around the time Keishuu comes under Sousou. The story consist of 12 episodes that chronicles the battles of Ryuubi&#8217;s adopted son, Ryuhou(劉封) and Shuutai(周泰), Kyocho(許?), Bashoku(馬謖) plus other heroes.</p>
<p><a href="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/first_reveal.jpg"><img src="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/first_reveal.jpg" alt="first_reveal" title="first_reveal" width="500" height="207" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-2881" /></a><br />
<em>First reveal in one of the hobby magazines</em></p>
<p>He also talked about Kouseki(項籍) Turn X having another true identity.<br />
At first I thought it might be Ryuubi but given the setting, maybe not.<br />
My next guess is Ryofu but the yellow eyes of Turn X&#8230;<br />
Sonken and Sonsaku both have green eyes.<br />
Nice, a mystery.<br />
(For those who got the first release Ryuubi kit with the big manga poster, Kouseki is in the last frame)</p>
<p><a href="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/turnx.jpg"><img src="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/turnx.jpg" alt="turnx" title="turnx" width="362" height="316" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-2882" /></a><br />
<em>The mysterious Kouseki</em></p>
<p>Yup, storywise its pretty interesting to me.<br />
Whats disappointing are the kits.</p>
<p><a href="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/compare.jpg"><img src="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/compare-400x291.jpg" alt="compare" title="compare" width="400" height="291" class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-2884" /></a><br />
<em>Kiryuu compared to standard Sangokuden kit (Souhi), loss of the interchangable play the main series had.</em></p>
<p>The first 2 kits of the series Ryuhou and Shuutai are remolds of 2 older kits, <a href="http://sssdgundam.fc2web.com/toy_kiryu.htm">Kiryuu Gundam</a>(1995) and <a href="http://bandai-hobby.net/plamo/all/kit/20468.htm">Shinsoumaru</a>(2003). Remolds are not new, the Transformers series has a lots of remolds. But this is the first time (I believe) for a Musha Gundam-type line to consist majority of remolds. </p>
<p><a href="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/016.jpg"><img src="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/016-400x265.jpg" alt="016" title="016" width="400" height="265" class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-2900" /></a><br />
<em>Ryuuhou and Shuutai</em></p>
<p>Ok, maybe from another point of view one can say that the remolds&#8217; characters are from the bloodline of the former character of the mold?</p>
<p><a href="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/058.jpg"><img src="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/058-500x375.jpg" alt="058" title="058" width="500" height="375" class="alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-2885" /></a><br />
<em>Full cast picture(?) of Sangokuden Gaiden (chapter 1? :P)</em></p>
<p>Some guesses of the remolds to come:</p>
<blockquote><p><font size="1px">My guess:<br />
last row:<br />
BB208 Musha Mark-IV, ? , BB254 Soutenmaru, BB205 Musha Blue Gundam<br />
one row down:<br />
BB247 Bakimaru, BB201 Musha Turn A Gundam, ? (BB205 Musha Blue Gundam?)<br />
one row down:<br />
? , BB256 Kaijyumaru , ?(BB205 Musha Blue Gundam?)</p>
<p>A more accurate guess from a japanese blog:<br />
last row:<br />
BB208 Musha Mark-IV, BB159 Jyuuha Gundam, BB151 Blade Gundam, BB205 Musha Blue Gundam<br />
one row down:<br />
BB247 Bakimaru, BB201 Musha Turn A Gundam, BB249 Bushimaru<br />
one row down:<br />
BB77 Bushin Gundam, BB256 Kaijyumaru, BB206 Musha Gebara Gundam<br />
</font></p></blockquote>
<p>Remolds to cut cost and cash in? 12 episodes to test the market?<br />
Hope there will be a proper manga version of the story.</p>

<p>Next is the lastest entry for Sengokuden. The new series is named SD Sengokuden Bushin Kourin Hen(SD戦国伝 武神降臨編, roughly SD Sengokuden Arrival of the War God Chapter). Touched on this a bit in a <a href="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/2009/05/tsunami-from-bandai-sd%E7%B7%A8/">previous post</a>. The Sengokuden series take place in Ark(天宮) a continent separated by sea from Abram(past name of Mirisha) and Albion (<a href="http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/c/cc/Musha_Gundam_world_map.png">a map</a>). The Sengokuden series stopped in 2007 with Musha Banchou Fuuunroku, the old continued series stopped in 1999 and the series that follow slowly gave more of an alternate century feel but later an official timeline is published to connect them. Ok I think I&#8217;m going on too much here.</p>
<p>Seems like not much information of the story is out yet but I expect something like Sengoku Basara? The main title &#8220;SD Sengokuden&#8221; kind of suggest a reboot of the Sengokuden series to me. Maybe most probably set in a future Ark like the case of Sangokuden?</p>
<p><a href="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/024.jpg"><img src="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/024-500x375.jpg" alt="024" title="024" width="500" height="375" class="alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-2875" /></a><br />
<em>The first 3 rehashed heroes with their accessories, somehow the boxes look bigger then their &#8216;previous life&#8217;s&#8217;</em></p>
<p>From the next 2 announced, the series is still using rehashed Musharetsuden kits. At least its all from Musharetsuden which kits have a pretty nice proportion and articulation compared to the kits used by Sangokuden Gaiden. </p>
<p>Ok onto the new stuff from Tokyo Toy Show. Joining Takeda Shingen Gundam, Uesugi Kenshin Gundam and Naoe Kanetsugu Gundam are <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sanada_Yukimura">Sanada Yukimura</a> Gundam(真田幸村頑駄無) and <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oda_Nobunaga">Oda Nobunaga</a> Gundam(織田信長頑駄無) which are rehashes of <a href="http://www33.tok2.com/home/sirou/ryuuzindousinyuu.html">Ryuujin Doushi Nu</a> and <a href="http://www.geocities.jp/hetare_d_max/gallery-EVOLVE_Daisyougun.html">Gundam Daishougun Gundam Evolve version</a>.</p>
<p><a href="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/025.jpg"><img src="http://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/025-500x375.jpg" alt="025" title="025" width="500" height="375" class="alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-2878" /></a><br />
<em>Sanada and Nobunaga coming in September.</em></p>
<p>Also read that the story may be that the souls of past heroes come onto the characters from Musharetsuden but with Rekka Musha Gundam as Shingen and Nobunaga?(Expansion of that concept back in 1991?) The series title kind of have that possession suggestion also.</p>
<hr />
<p>Disappointed, but more with the kits though.<br />
With this I end another one of my SD rambling posts :P</p>
