This almost eluded me if not for my trip out today.
Here it is, the next campaign item to make you buy more extra kits :P
The Bushouza(武将座)!

The (usual) participating outlets in SG, original here.

The Bushouza kind of works like the di:Stage.
Not going to go into this one much as I’ve found another site which does so, check it out here.

To me the previous campaign item, the Tengaisou(天鎧装) is more attractive. And it did made me buy some extra kits to get the full set(poor wallet..).

For the Tengaisou, there are four types – the Seiryuu type and Byakko type, the Suzaku type, the Genbu type. Yup, its the Four Symbols again. But so far the Tengaisou(and Bushouza) stays as a campaign item and not a canonical item in the story.

Heres a nice review for the Tengaisou set.

So whats up next?
Most probably will be the twelve weapon set last talked about in a previous post.

From China

Interestingly, during my search I found that China has produced some of their own items…

Bootleg Tengaisou

Platinum Tengaisou

At least they sold it as a full set.

Now two not bad originals.

Time Wing(时空翼), essentially Aile Striker + Sword Siilhouette
Fighter Wing(斗神翼), this one actually looks not bad..

They actually went and wrote some backstory too!
Fighter Wing – made from feathers of Jakushin.
Time Wing – made by the Three Lords, grants teleportation.

Once again from the same site a nice review.
(the two pictures above are from there too)
Pretty amazing these two are, I kind of want them too.

And for those interested in the full lineup of the bootleg line, they have BANDI, Decoo and GZ.
Ok, enough of the bootleg stuff :P

About campaign items and power up parts

Thought that I should do a quick one on some history.
At first the power up parts are products sold in stores…

Powerup Equipment Set 1(boxed), seven parts for 6 for kits also from “Musha Shichininshuu Hen” and 1 conversion part for BB No.8 Sazabi to Musha Sazabi. Kirin no Shinki(麒麟の神器), Tenshou no Shinki(天翔の神器) and Seiryuu no Shinki(青龍の神器) for 3 kits from “Musha Shichininshuu Hen”(武者七人衆編).

I suppose the release dates for the 2 sets should be late 80s or early 90s and they are long out of production. But recently (I suppose) there are unofficial resin/garage kit reproductions. Reviews of the garage kit reproductions here and here.

Then they became campaign goods…

The Tendou Shinki(天動神器) set, consisting of Houou no Shinki(鳳凰の神器), Ryuu no Shinki(龍の神器), Shishi no Shinki(獅子の神器) and Yami no Shinki(闇の神器). The four ‘Shinki’(heavenly instruments) can fit any of the kits from the 1996 series Bushin Kirahagane as the kits have a similar set of hardpoints. Theres a silver version too. A review here(the reviewed version came with a 6-in-1 set so its not plated).

Not only parts, the campaign goods also come as stickers. The Powerup Seals(転生シール) was a campaign item in 1995 in the time of the Chou Kidou Daishougun Hen. Comes in ten types with with each sheet supporting 3 kits, the supported kits range from those from 1990 to 1995. With the overwhelming support of the Powerup Seal campaign, Bandai released a product version(4 types).

Powerup Seals product version

Its not only these that I covered, in the early 90s there are other side products too like some guides and maps. There are also many kit variants, transparent, plated etc..
(Also in the past plated parts, transparent parts and effect parts are kind of the norm not a luxury like now.)

Ok this just came in, thanks to vashblueeyes.
A line art of Gotsutotsukotsu Master (兀突骨マスター) and Kaku Ashtaron (賈詡アシュタロン)!?

Compare with the manga version

Compare with the manga version

Doujin…?
Kaku looks too refined to me.
Actually both designs look refined.
Perhaps they look better without the effects of the Ankouku Gyokuji?
lol

Hmm, the lines of Gotsutotsukotsu Master looks smoother than that of Kaku Ashtaron.

[EDIT] Updated with Kaku lineart thanks to vashblueeyes again!

Ok, here ends another SD Gundam post.
See you!

The kits are Kakuka Virsago and Genbusou Ryofu Tallgeese.
Following will be some pictures and my rough translation from Happinet then some of my thoughts for the two.

Kakuka Virsago (郭嘉ヴァサーゴ)

Giga’s strategist, Kakuka Virsago, 3 mode change to be released!
・ Strategist mode
・ Commander mode
・ Majin mode

■ The powerup form with parts of BB Senshi No.352 Senjin Gattai Shuu Gundam equipped [?]

● Kakuka Virsago
A strategist of Giga and Shiba-I’s best pupil. His ingenuity and resourcefulness earned him a praise as the “young genius” from Sousou. Possess talent as cold and beautiful as ice [?]. Appears in Eiyuu Gekitotsu Hen (Part 2), now on being merchandised his design and gimmick receive a power up.

[Accessories] Sword x 2, fan
[Contents] Runner x 3, stickers, instruction sheet (with manga)

■ Release date: January 2010
■ Target age: 8 years and above
■ Size: packaging: 205(W)x150(H)x50(D)mm

Thoughts
With Kaku and Houtou both dead in the current Part 3, Kakuka is the last of the Three Excellencies of Giga. Feels like Giga will be crushed by end of Part 3 leaving Sousou to bring it up again.

Kakuka has a new design (old design) with three modes, two are shown but which two? Is the one similar to Chest Break mode the Commander(武将) mode or Majin(魔神) mode? Or is the not shown power up form with Shuu Gundam parts the Majin mode? If not then could the old design be the strategist mode? [EDIT] Now made clear with the new picture added.

Equipped with Shuu parts? So what is Kakuka? A remanent of Shuu? A new evil? A Shuu possession? Also as shown in the animated PVs, the three “bad guys” are Shuu, Kakuka and Toutaku.

Will he be part of Part 3’s endgame or have a role to play if there is a Part 4?

Ok, the forms are all there, even the Shuu parts equipped form

Genbusou Ryofu Tallgeese (玄武装 呂布トールギス)

Elbow joints!! A new-gen Sangokuden kit design?

Translation from source:

■ Equipped with a big-scale halberd
■ Backpack combines into shield

● Genbusou Ryofu Tallgeese
A well known and mighty warrior. Yearning to battle with more powerful opponents joins the Toutaku Troops in Sangokuden Part 1. After the decisive battle with the anti-Toutaku alliance his whereabouts are unknown, now returns with a power up.

[Accessories] Halberd, Shield
[Contents] Runner x 7, stickers, instruction sheet (with manga)

■ Release date: January 2010
■ Target age: 8 years and above
■ Size: packaging: 205(W)x150(H)x50(D)mm

Thoughts
No jumbo set for Ryofu this time, phew. Now clad in white armor with more of those hexegonal turtle shell pattern on it. I suppose the armor is called Genbusou(Genbu Armament)? Clawed and black before, now he is white and spiky :P.

Genbu(玄武) is one of the Four Symbols, associated anmal is the tortoise. The Three Lords are also associated with the Four Symbols. The stylized turtle emblem on (previous) Ryofu’s box and the Shinbu mode of the Tengyokugai also hints on Ryofu’s relationship with the Genbu symbol. In the manga version an additional scene is added in the second compiled volume of Part 1 to show that he has survived and his appearance in a panel of Part 3’s preview suggest that his role in Sangokuden is not finished yet. Also in the Comic World on his instruction sheet, the purple part is also glowing when the Gyokuji is activated.

But the mythology only talked about The Three Lords, Jyakushi, Kogyou and Ryuutei. What did Ryofu become? A new Fourth Lord? Or he has awoken to some unknown Fourth Lord? What about his own country, a fourth Kingdom?

If he is the first kit of a supposedly Part 4 then he could be the protagonist then? If so, what could Part 4 be about? About what happened to him after Part 1? As Part 3 seems to be derailing from the literature, could Part 4 be original? Also with him in Part 3’s preview could he be in Part 3 and theres no Part 4?

Still wondering, could he have lost his memory and become Kouseki after Part 1? (But Ryofu has purple eyes..who is Kouseki?)

Part 4 not confirmed yet but have a good chance.
All speculations for now…

This hefty MS is about the size of an MG Sinanju, with its binders raised. Very big for a 1/144 kit, not to mention the design shouts of ‘FIERCEEEE’. lol okay I now sound like an ‘ah beng’.

——————

HGUC Unicorn (both modes)

The painted Master Grade that I’ve slogged for had ZERO playability (at least, for me), so this HGUC version gave me much fulfillment. :D

——————

Kotobukiya Non-Scale Granzon

Lastly, the kit I’ve been waiting 10 years for, ever since I’ve played Super Robot Wars, I’ve dreamed that a Granzon kit will be released. And it did. WOOOHOO NO AMOUNT OF LOUSY FITTING WILL STOP ME FROM GETTING THIS KIT. *_*

==========
Any kit caught you guys’ eyes lately?

So the 49th All Japan Plamodel Hobby Show just ended last weekend.
The tsunami was let lose and I found myself drowning in a sea of new releases (kinda the 2nd time this year). The post came pretty late as I am busy with other stuff (and I’m kinda dry and out of the water now).

Oh well, as usual its the SD Gundam kits I want to talk about..

To make a list of the new SD Gundam stuff on display:
- 4 kits from Sangokuden
- 3 kits from Sangokuden Gaiden
- 3 kits from Bushin Kourin Hen
- God and Wing Zero set

Hope I didn’t miss any.

First stop, Sangokuden.
As we have followed it from the design plan stage, the kit form of Goutaitei Sonken and Senjin Gattai Shuu have finally been revealed.

Goutaitei Sonken and Kourinpaku

So after much hardship the soul of Kogyou has finally awaken in Sonken. From the pictures we can now see that theres no error in the design plan, Sonken is actually wearing his father’s armor. And with perhaps a head swap you get daddy Sonken (makes you want to get 2 of the kit :P).

The last we see of Sonken in the manga is him frozen by darkness perhaps when Moukaku and Bachou arrive at Gou, they can somehow get him out? Somehow I feel that the endgame will start at Gou with Sonken versus Shuu possessed Sonsaku.

Sonken wears his father’s armor.

From the first picture you can roughly pick up some stuff. The Kourinpaku is the materialized form of the spirit of Kogyou, which dwells in the Kouteiken (daddy Sonken’s sword, now passsed to Sonken). Its the same case like Ryuubi’s Ryuukihou and Ryuuteiken, so I guess the spirit of Jakushin is in the Sousou’s twin swords(but no beast materialization?)?

Also in the picture we see the 2 swords, Gaouken 01(refined version of Sonken’s old sword?) and Shin Kouteiken (awakened version of Kouteiken?).

Senjingasshin Shuu Gundam

The biggest in the Sangokuden series and it reminds me of Trinity Daishougun and those Keroro combiners. As with Sonken, Shuu too has that poster with some info. Lets start with the Shiba family.

Hmm, En looks feels a rework off the older SD Char’s Zaku II mold. Does he go inside Psycho?

En, the yougest has been very outstanding since young and seems to be commuting the wishes of the sealed devil of darkness Shuu. Shou, the second oversee the prayer of En together with big brother Shi. He is one of the priest believing in the final chapter of the G Chronicle, Apocalypse. Shi, the eldest is an excellent commander but never appears on the battlefield instead he acts as his father’s aide and keeps an eye on En’s prayers. Maybe they all know of En’s link with Shuu therefore they keep a tight watch (another interpretation is that they are guarding him) on him?

Parts combine to form weapon

On to the other two. Ankoku Gyokuji Psycho Gundam is a giant weapon of darkness from within the huge Ankoku Gyokuji. Shuu Neue Ziel is the incarnation of darkness that was sealed by the Three Lords during the mythical ages, he is the source of all darkness. Part of Shuu combines with Sonsaku to make what looks like a Gebera Tetra to me :P.

All seems to be the work of Shiba-I as the posterseem to say that Shuu Gundam is revived by Shiba-I through the Ankoku Gyokuji. (Remembers the early on in the manga where he was going through the scrolls[G Chronicle?])

Sonsaku Gundam

Following the two bigger size (and more exciting) kits, this one is in the smaller boxed 630yen category. Sonsaku Gundam, the big brother of Sonken. He comes with the original Kouteiken, the legendary sword used by their father. The kit has a mode change to an assault mode. As shown in the Shuu poster, this kit can combine with parts from the Shuu kit.

Five Tiger Generals Ryuukihou set

A boxed set of the five Shou generals with a clear yellow version of the Ryuukihou, features a stand to hold the armor parts swapped out with the Ryuukihou parts.
The last five generals + oriental dragon backdrop set doesn’t seem to come as one box if I remember correctly.

Next, the new kits for sidestory of Sangokuden.
Three remolds on display. Not sure why but theres a lot of blue in the recent Gaiden releases.

Sangokuden Gaiden

Batei Gundam is Bachou’s disciple. The kit is a remold of Musha Blue Gundam which is also the base for the SD Blue Destiny 02 from the G Generation kit series.

Bashoku Gundam is a young genius strategist from Keishuu, his abilities are acknowledged by Koumei. The original mold of this kit is from Bushi Maru, which design is based off Strike Gundam.

Teihou Gundam is a general of Sonsaku’s army. A remold of Musha Gebera Gundam which is also the base for the SD GP-04 from the G Generation kit series. The second character from Gou acted by GP-04 :P

Another three more remolds for the winter release, two featuring the remaining two of the major daimyo of the Sengoku period and another featuring one of the notable daimyo. (I’m not that knowledgable in the japanese Sengoku period, just quoting from wikipedia)

Sengokuden Bushin Kourin Hen

I actually thought that the series has ended but now here comes the second wave. Also notice that the possession now expand beyond the Retsuden characters, which means they can have over 200+ past molds to play with :P

Date Masamune Gundam, a notable daimyo. Remold of Onmitsu Ninja Nomaru.

Tokugawa Ieyasu Gundam, a major daimyo. The third remold of First Gundam Daishougen (the 199th BB Senshi kit), the second is a recolor released as Kihei Musha Gundam.

Toyotomi Hideyoshi Gundam, a major daimyo. A remold of Sennari Daishougen (the 100th BB Senshi kit), a F91 design. At least for this release they added the middle section for the legs which made it look better.

Seems like the major daimyo have a Chou Bushou mode[超武将モード](except for Oda Nobunaga). For Ieyasu, its the Custom Daishougen form inherited from the old mold. For Hideyoshi, its the armor from the Daiba Salamander.

Somehow they skipped the possession of Musha ZZ and Musha Psycho of Retsuden, maybe they will come back to them later?

Lastly, some normal SD Gundam.

God and Wing Zero set

The twin set after the Zeta and Nu set, another re-release of sort.
The selling point featured is the sheet of new clear stickers.
The stickers gives the SD kits a Master Grade feel.

Goutaitei Sonken Gundam & Korinpaku

Ok the words say Sonken(孫権, GP03-son) but the design shows Sonken(孫堅, GP01-father).
Some error on similar names?
Anyway in the manga version Sonken and Sonsaku are dead and Gou [...]

Goutaitei Sonken Gundam & Korinpaku
(轟大帝孫権ガンダム & 虎隣魄)

Ok the words say Sonken(孫権, GP03-son) but the design shows Sonken(孫堅, GP01-father).
Some error on similar names?

Anyway in the manga version Sonken and Sonsaku are dead and Gou is left in the hands of young Sonken.
This form could probably be the form assumed by Sonken when he awakens to Kogyou.

If this design is official then Ryuubi and Sonken both got new designs for their awakened forms.
Poor Sousou.
Or there is more to Sousou?
Ryuubi has the Ryuukihou, Sonken has Korinpaku and Sousou is missing his phoenix animal mecha.

Senjin Gattai Shuu Gundam
(戦神合体　蚩尤ガンダム)

A combiner!
Made up of the sons and grandson of Shiba-I and Shuu with Ankoku Gyokuji.

Hmm, so the sons of Shiba-I – Shiba Shou(司馬 昭) and Shiba Shi(司馬 師), could be played by Ξ Gundam and Penalope Gundam and the grandson Shiba En(司馬 炎) by Char’s Zaku II. And the Neue Ziel silhouette we’ve been seeing in the promo clips is unveiled to be Shuu(蚩尤).

Refering to the wiki article, Shuu is not a RoTK character but is a war deity in Chinese mythology.

And Ankoku Gyokuji Psycho Gundam…
The Ankoku Gyokuji are the black Gyokuji(that dragon head imperial seal) that the Giga Three Excellencies have been seen using in the manga version.

The Shiba family, a war deity and a twisted magical item?
The final boss?

Have to say thanks to amandanepo92 for informing me about the Toysdaily post yesterday.

Its coming.
The XN Raiser conversion kit, its coming on the 25th next month with the October issue of Hobby Japan.
Ok, this post will kind of recap on this furoku kit and talk about 2 interesting fan variations (8 swords? 13 swords?) involving the XN Raiser design.

About the title, XN(ザン) is pronounced as “Zan” and the kanji “斬” also reads as “Zan”. “斬” has the “to cut or slash” meaning which relates to the huge GN Buster Sword III of the 00 XN Raiser.

Next we’ll look into what we know about the XN Raiser from pictures from the net:

The first announcement of XN Raiser in an issue of Hobby Japan if I’m not wrong

The XN Raiser is designed by Kanetake Ebikawa, who also designed Exia, Astraea, 00 and other mecha designs in Gundam 00 and other series (check out the link ;)). Its part of the ongoing “00V” series serializing in Hobby Japan. Hobby Japan hits its 40th anniversary this August so a XN Raiser coversion kit is produced and bundled with that month’s issue as an anniversary special (similar to Dengeki Hobby’s 10th Anniversary with Rasiel and Sefer).

The runner of the conversion kit exhibited.

With that I suppose the full specs and story (probably some excuse why it isn’t deployed) of the XN Raiser will be known when the issue comes out next month. What is obvious from the pictures is the GN Buster Sword III (GN Buster Sword II is part of the 00 Seven Sword armaments) which can be used as 2 swords or combined to 1 sword. The XN Raiser also has 2 subarms to hold extra weaponery.

XN Raiser docks with 00 Gundam to become 00 XN Raiser but the sole XN unit/parts combine with 00 Gundam to become XN 00 Gundam.
As usual the October issue will have a “how to” guide to building the XN Raiser.

Actually the XN parts are as “sociable” as GN Sefer

Later on it is revealed that the XN parts can be used on other 00 season 2 CB Gundams and MS too (Seravee has 8 arms now!). But just like Sefer’s connectivity this is only a plamo original gimmick and not part of the Sunrise official settings. Thats not all that that the XN parts can connect with, the picture says that you may find other combinations with your imagination (maybe one with Arche Gundam?).

Ok, that pretty much sum up on the XN Raiser.
Now to the fanmade variations.

Familiar? Yup, you’ve seen it in a previous post.

First variation, dubbed “00 Raiser Eight Sword” by its creator.
The base kit is a HG 1/144 00 Raiser with the other parts scratchbuilt.
Taller then the base kit as its on high heels :P

See the worklog of this kit here.
The kit was eventually auctioned off for 125,000yen (starting from 1yen, ended with 65 bids).

Second variation.

Its a 3DCG design.
A combination of 00 XN Raiser and the 00 Seven Sword equipment with an extra GN Sword III.
Not bad, has the big and heavy feel.

You can find more of his CG art here.
Quite a few realistic renders and wallpapers there.

I have been posting news about gunpla last week of every month, or early in the month, so let’s keep it a Bonkurasu monthly segment. I’ll only blog on gunpla/news that interests me. First up, is news on the latest 00V ‘mod’.

The variation for Seravee Gundam, by and large, have 2 extra ‘bots’ to utilize. Reminds me of Gundam X’s ‘AI’ bots. The bots are mounted onto the main bot, Seraphim, of which its shoulder armors have connecting holes.

Of course, this design is Bandai’s scheme to pro-modellers to buy more 1/144 Seraphims for this mod. Grrr. Well, I’m not one of them. =P
=====

Next up; Gunpla news:

Universal Century:
Master Grade Guntank; September release, 5,040 Yen

For almost 3 years, Bandai has been elusive of their release of the Master Grade Guntank. At long last, this rendition of the good’ol Guntank is as good, if not better, than the Master Grade Gundam 2.0. Details of the kit raised another bar for the Master Grade series, but the tracks will be a pain to sand off all the nubs though.
====

HG 1/144 Full Armor Gundam (7th Unit); September release, 1575 yen

The color scheme made it look too much like a toy. Don’t get me wrong; I love the design, just that I hate the official color scheme. I’d love to paint it into Prototype Gundam colors, or even G-3 colors.

====
HG 1/144 Kshatriya; October release, 4725 yen

This humongous beast of a Mobile Suit finally has a kit rendition. Despite being scaled at 1/144, it’s the next kit after HGUC 1/144 Psycho Gundam to hit over the 18cm mark (that’s the size for most 1/100 Gundam kits). With its height at 20cm, and perhaps more width-wise, this kit totally puts the cost smack right in the same league as the usual Master Grade kits. Heck, it’s more expensive than the Master Grade Gundam Exia!

====
Alternate Century:

HG 1/144 Reborns Gundam – September release, 1,890 Yen

HG 1/144 Gaddess – August release, 1,680 Yen

I was all hyped up and really to purchase the Reborns Gundam when it releases, but after a few months, my interest level waned, and I didn’t feel like building the kit anymore, not when the upcoming release date is on September.

Gaddess was kind of cool, with the the parts of the effects of 1/144 Cherudium’s bits doing its final attack mode on Gaddess bundled inside. Good diorama gimmick there, Bandai.

====

Others:

Custom Decals (Klan Klang/ Ranka) for VF-25

Honestly speaking, after building those…. ‘kits’, I’d very much rather use the decals onto my cellphone/laptop/anything else but buidling another kit just for this.

====
Soul of Chogokin Shin Mazinger Z (w/God Scrander); October release, 9240 yen

Soul of Chogokin Energer Z; August release, 6615 yen

Both S.O.Cs looking really spiffy, and Energer Z’s design was weird to me at first, but it started to grow on me…. gradually. Heheheh.

From the Tokyo Toy Show comes more news on the 2 new SD Gundam series.
Well, I’m quite disappointed actually.

Ok, lets start from Sangokuden first.
The new series is called Sangokuden Gaiden Buyuu Gekitou Roku(三国伝外伝　武勇激闘録 roughly translated, Sangokuden Sidestory: Heroic Clash Chronicles). From Kentarou Yano’s(the mangaka of Eiyuu Gekitosu Hen) blog we know that it is a close up clash record of episodes that involve various characters that are not featured in the main story. The story is set before the Red Cliff battles, beginning around the time Keishuu comes under Sousou. The story consist of 12 episodes that chronicles the battles of Ryuubi’s adopted son, Ryuhou(劉封) and Shuutai(周泰), Kyocho(許?), Bashoku(馬謖) plus other heroes.

First reveal in one of the hobby magazines

He also talked about Kouseki(項籍) Turn X having another true identity.
At first I thought it might be Ryuubi but given the setting, maybe not.
My next guess is Ryofu but the yellow eyes of Turn X…
Sonken and Sonsaku both have green eyes.
Nice, a mystery.
(For those who got the first release Ryuubi kit with the big manga poster, Kouseki is in the last frame)

The mysterious Kouseki

Yup, storywise its pretty interesting to me.
Whats disappointing are the kits.

Kiryuu compared to standard Sangokuden kit (Souhi), loss of the interchangable play the main series had.

The first 2 kits of the series Ryuhou and Shuutai are remolds of 2 older kits, Kiryuu Gundam(1995) and Shinsoumaru(2003). Remolds are not new, the Transformers series has a lots of remolds. But this is the first time (I believe) for a Musha Gundam-type line to consist majority of remolds.

Ryuuhou and Shuutai

Ok, maybe from another point of view one can say that the remolds’ characters are from the bloodline of the former character of the mold?

Full cast picture(?) of Sangokuden Gaiden (chapter 1? :P)

Some guesses of the remolds to come:

My guess:
last row:
BB208 Musha Mark-IV, ? , BB254 Soutenmaru, BB205 Musha Blue Gundam
one row down:
BB247 Bakimaru, BB201 Musha Turn A Gundam, ? (BB205 Musha Blue Gundam?)
one row down:
? , BB256 Kaijyumaru , ?(BB205 Musha Blue Gundam?)

A more accurate guess from a japanese blog:
last row:
BB208 Musha Mark-IV, BB159 Jyuuha Gundam, BB151 Blade Gundam, BB205 Musha Blue Gundam
one row down:
BB247 Bakimaru, BB201 Musha Turn A Gundam, BB249 Bushimaru
one row down:
BB77 Bushin Gundam, BB256 Kaijyumaru, BB206 Musha Gebara Gundam

Remolds to cut cost and cash in? 12 episodes to test the market?
Hope there will be a proper manga version of the story.

Next is the lastest entry for Sengokuden. The new series is named SD Sengokuden Bushin Kourin Hen(SD戦国伝 武神降臨編, roughly SD Sengokuden Arrival of the War God Chapter). Touched on this a bit in a previous post. The Sengokuden series take place in Ark(天宮) a continent separated by sea from Abram(past name of Mirisha) and Albion (a map). The Sengokuden series stopped in 2007 with Musha Banchou Fuuunroku, the old continued series stopped in 1999 and the series that follow slowly gave more of an alternate century feel but later an official timeline is published to connect them. Ok I think I’m going on too much here.

Seems like not much information of the story is out yet but I expect something like Sengoku Basara? The main title “SD Sengokuden” kind of suggest a reboot of the Sengokuden series to me. Maybe most probably set in a future Ark like the case of Sangokuden?

The first 3 rehashed heroes with their accessories, somehow the boxes look bigger then their ‘previous life’s’

From the next 2 announced, the series is still using rehashed Musharetsuden kits. At least its all from Musharetsuden which kits have a pretty nice proportion and articulation compared to the kits used by Sangokuden Gaiden.

Ok onto the new stuff from Tokyo Toy Show. Joining Takeda Shingen Gundam, Uesugi Kenshin Gundam and Naoe Kanetsugu Gundam are Sanada Yukimura Gundam(真田幸村頑駄無) and Oda Nobunaga Gundam(織田信長頑駄無) which are rehashes of Ryuujin Doushi Nu and Gundam Daishougun Gundam Evolve version.

Sanada and Nobunaga coming in September.

Also read that the story may be that the souls of past heroes come onto the characters from Musharetsuden but with Rekka Musha Gundam as Shingen and Nobunaga?(Expansion of that concept back in 1991?) The series title kind of have that possession suggestion also.

Disappointed, but more with the kits though.
With this I end another one of my SD rambling posts :P
